Arc Raiders Just Dropped a Hotfix for a Mountain of Bugs
The team is hammering away at the game's problems, from broken augments to that robotic proximity voice.
A new patch just landed for Arc Raiders, and the team says to restart your game to grab it. It's a quick update aimed at tidying up server issues and some nagging bugs.
Honestly, I must be one of the lucky ones. My performance on PC has been almost strangely perfect, and I've barely run into any of the major bugs people have been reporting.
But I know my experience isn't universal, and this new patch list is proof that plenty of you have been having a rougher time.
The Big Squashes
So, what got the hammer? The most important fix is for Augment Effects, which apparently just... weren't working. They also fixed an issue where the Augment still wouldn't work if you equipped another quick-use item. Glad that's sorted.
They also patched up that awful robotic proximity voice, which is a mercy for everyone's ears.
On the technical side, they fixed a specific crash, squashed a memory leak caused by Steam avatars, and fixed a bug where those avatars wouldn't even show up. They also tweaked incorrect key drop chances, so your runs might feel a little more rewarding.
...But We're Not Done Yet
This is a hotfix, not a miracle. If your game still feels janky in places, you're not crazy.
For me, the one persistent, baffling bug that haunts my runs is still there. You know the one. The bug where you open a door, and it just instantly, spitefully slams shut right in your face?
Yeah. That's not on the list.
So while it's great that Augments are working and the game is leaking less memory, I'm still getting into a one-sided slap-fight with every door I try to walk through. It's a good reminder that we're all in this early access grind together.
It's a solid list of fixes, and it’s good to see the team is active and listening. Now, if Ossen and the crew could just teach those doors some manners, I'd be all set.
At least with working Augments, it'll be a little easier to hunt down those killer robots. Restart your game to grab the patch.
