ARC Raiders Players Are Already "Time Traveling" to the Next Wipe
The dust hasn't even settled on your empty stash, and we already know exactly when you will be asked to delete everything all over again.
Today is the day. Embark Studios finally pushed the big red button, opening the "Expedition Project" window in ARC Raiders. For those of you brave (or foolish) enough to sign the waiver, you are currently staring at a Level 1 character and a completely empty inventory. But if you thought you had time to relax and rebuild your empire at a leisurely pace, think again. Thanks to some impatient PC players and a very simple exploit, we now know that the next reset is barreling toward us faster than a pissed-off Rocketeer.
Mark Your Calendars: February 22
If the in-game countdowns are to be believed, the next Expedition window is scheduled to open on or around February 22. This confirms that Embark is aiming for a tight, two-month seasonal loop.
This information didn't come from an official press release. It came from users realizing that ARC Raiders trusts your PC's system clock a little too much. By simply changing their system date while in the game, players were able to force the internal calendar forward. It is a classic, old-school trick that somehow still works in 2025.
The "Time Travel" Exploit
This isn't just about seeing a date. Players who manipulated their clocks have reportedly seen future map conditions, upcoming trials, and other additions that aren't supposed to be visible yet. It turns out that while building a caravan to escape a subterranean colony is rocket science, tricking the game engine is not.
It is a bit hilarious that in a persistent, online extraction shooter, the client-side system time can expose future content. But hey, if you want to know what the weather looks like in March, apparently you just need to adjust your Windows settings.
The Grind Never Ends
Here is the part that will exhaust the completionists. Users who finished the Expedition Project today noticed something interesting. As soon as you complete the reset and wake up with your "Patchwork" skin and stash boost, you can instantly start building your next caravan.
There is no downtime. You finish the cycle, you wipe your progress, and the game immediately asks you to start hoarding resources for the February 22 departure. It creates a perpetual motion machine of grinding. You are looting to leave, leaving to reset, and resetting to loot again.
Is it optional? Technically, yes. You can choose to stay in Speranza and ignore the window. But if you want to keep stacking those permanent stash upgrades and earning those skill points, you are going to be living on a two-month timer for the rest of your Raider's short, violent life. Get back to work.
