Hades 2: The Only 100% Achievement Guide You'll Ever Need

Ready to piss off the God of Time and look good doing it? Getting every achievement in Hades 2 is a marathon, not a sprint. It's a long, dark road that will likely take you over 75 hours and more than 80 runs to complete. Let's get to work.

First, a word of advice. There are no missable achievements in this game. You can't screw yourself out of the platinum trophy, so feel free to do your first few runs completely blind to just enjoy the story. But this guide will, by its very nature, spoil bosses, story reveals, and secret mechanics. If you want a pure experience, play until you've seen the credits once, then come back. You've been warned.

The Road to Hell (and the Surface)

These achievements are your main progression markers. You'll get one for clearing each major biome, both in the Underworld and on the chaotic Surface.

  • Witch of the Woods. You'll get this for clearing Erebus, the first region of the Underworld, and beating its boss, Hecate.

  • Witch of the Depths. This pops after you clear Oceanus and defeat its bosses, Scylla and the Sirens.

  • Witch of the Plains. Your reward for making it through the Fields of Mourning and taking down the Infernal Cerberus.

  • Witch of the Abyss. This unlocks after you finally reach the end of the Underworld path in Tartarus and defeat the Titan of Time, Chronos.

  • Witch of the Outskirts. To get this, you first need to unlock the path to the Surface by casting the "Permeation of Witching-Wards" incantation at your cauldron. Once you can go topside, this achievement unlocks after you beat the first surface boss in the City of Ephyra, Polyphemus.

  • Witch of the Waters. This unlocks after clearing the second surface region, the Rift of Thessaly, and defeating its boss.

  • Witch of the Mountains. You'll earn this by fighting your way up Mount Olympus and defeating its guardian.

  • Witch of the Clouds. This pops after you reach the end of the surface route and defeat the final boss at the Summit.

  • Death to Chronos and Golden Age. These are the big story achievements for completing the main plot and reaching the epilogue, respectively. These will require multiple successful runs against Chronos after completing a series of late-game incantations.

Prophecies and Other Annoyances

Most of your time will be spent completing tasks on the Fated List of Minor Prophecies, which unlocks early in the game. Hand of the Fates is your reward for fulfilling 60 of these tasks. Many of the achievements below are tied to specific, named prophecies.

  • Haunted by the Past. This requires you to recover Dora's lost memories by advancing her relationship and speaking with the third surface boss multiple times.

  • Soundest of Sleepers. A multi-step quest for Hypnos. You'll need to gift him Nectar, complete an incantation, get Dream Vapors, then talk to Medea on the surface to get another incantation, and finally complete that one.

  • Voice and Vanity. This involves the tragic duo of Narcissus and Echo in the second Underworld biome. Keep talking to them every chance you get, and eventually, Narcissus will have a change of heart.

  • Denizens of the Depths. You'll need to catch 20 different types of fish with the Rod of Fishing. Each biome has unique fish, so just keep fishing whenever you see a spot.

  • Unrivaled Prowess. After unlocking the Vow of Rivals pact, you have to defeat the harder "rival" versions of all eight main bosses (four in the Underworld, four on the Surface).

  • Sword of the Night. You need to defeat the final boss on the Surface with all six of the Nocturnal Arms.

  • Arcana of the Ages. This is a long one. You have to defeat the final boss of the Underworld, Chronos, after having had each Arcana card active in at least one of your successful runs.

  • Natural Talent. For this challenge, you have to defeat Hecate, the very first boss, with no Arcana cards active at all.

  • Bearing Dark Gifts. Based on community reports, this prophecy is fulfilled by completing a run with every single weapon Aspect in the game, on either the Surface or Underworld route.

  • Unfinished Business. This one seems to involve bringing Odysseus's keepsake into the boss fights with Scylla, Circe, and Polyphemus.

Tools of the Trade

These achievements are all about building up Melinoë's arsenal and meta-progression.

  • The Arms of Night. This is for simply unlocking all six of the Nocturnal Arms in the training area.

  • The Unseen Sentinel. This is a massive task that requires you to unlock every single weapon Aspect, including the hidden fourth Aspects. To unlock a hidden Aspect, you need to unlock all other aspects for that weapon, get one of them to Level V, then speak to the right character to get a "Waking Phrase."

  • Breadth of Knowledge. Simply unlock all 25 of the Arcana cards at the Altar of Ashes.

  • Mind for Magick. You need to reach the maximum Grasp of 30 by spending Psyche at the Altar.

  • Unassailable Insight. This is a huge material sink. You have to fully upgrade all 25 Arcana cards.

  • Sentimental Value. You get this for collecting every Keepsake in the game, which is done by giving at least one Nectar to every character who offers one.

Friends in Low (and High) Places

A big part of Hades 2 is building relationships with the cast of characters.

  • Close Comrades. This requires you to forge a bond (max out the main relationship track) with 10 different characters. Keep gifting them Nectar and other items.

  • Soothing Soak, Catch of the Night, and Ambrosia for Two. After unlocking the Hot Springs, Fishing Pier, and Taverna via incantations, you can invite characters to them by gifting them Bath Salts, Twin Lures, and Ambrosia, respectively. The achievements pop the first time you do each activity.

  • Animal Whisperer. You need to recruit all five animal familiars. Frinos the toad is easy, but the others like Toula the cat and the hounds Hecuba and Gale have specific, multi-step requirements involving exploration, tool usage, and story progression.

  • Beast Master. Once you've recruited the familiars, you can use Witch's Delights in the training room to upgrade their abilities. You need to fully upgrade all of them for this achievement.

  • Unfamiliar Forms. According to community members, you get the incantation to change your familiars' appearances from Circe after building a strong relationship with her.

Miscellaneous Mayhem

This is the final grab-bag of specific, often tricky achievements.

  • So Mote It Be. Cast 50 incantations at the cauldron. You'll get this naturally as you play.

  • Infinite Possibility and Chaos in Hell. After completing the "Abyssal Insight" incantation, you unlock Chaos Trials. You need to clear 20 of these one-floor challenges for the first achievement, and then beat the final, ultimate trial for the second.

  • Behold Night's Champion and Mercy, Night's Executioner. These are for beating the game with 8 and 16 "Fear" active from the Oath of the Unseen, respectively. It's this game's version of the Pact of Punishment from the original.

  • Fair Fight. During your runs, you can randomly encounter Nemesis, who will challenge you to a kill contest. Win enough of these to earn a cumulative total of 1,000 Gold.

  • Sheep's Clothing. During the Hecate fight, she can turn you into a sheep. While you're hexed, you need to kill one of the ghost enemies she summons. You can do this by attacking a tree to make it fall on them. A tip from the community: having your familiar kill one while you're a sheep also counts!

  • Breaking Up the Band. Take Selene's "Night Bloom" hex, which lets you raise a fallen enemy, into the Scylla and the Sirens boss fight. Use it to resurrect one of the dead Sirens to fight for you.

  • Dressed to Kill. In Erebus, you can meet the friendly spider Arachne, who will offer you a special dress that gives you armor. You need to reach the final boss of that run without losing all of the armor the dress provides.

  • Giving Back. After unlocking the Wretched Broker, you can trade in materials for Kudos. Earn 10,000 Kudos over time to get this.

  • And finally, Goddess of Nightmares. The last one you'll get. This pops when you've earned every other achievement. Good luck, you're going to need it.
