Your Guide to Becoming a God of Bonk: How to Get Every Weapon in Megabonk

So you’ve jumped into Megabonk, died a few dozen times, and now you’re staring at a sea of locked weapons wondering how the hell you’re supposed to survive. Good. That’s the right place to be.

This game is all about turning a pathetic starting loadout into a screen-clearing symphony of destruction. Unlocking the full arsenal is the first major step. I've spent more hours than I'd like to admit chasing down every last unlock, from finding a stupid hidden banana to killing thousands of enemies with a weapon called the "Slutty Rocket." I'm here to save you some of that pain. Here's your complete guide to getting every single weapon.

The Grind is Your Life Now

Let's start with the basics. Some weapons are just a reward for your bloodlust. The Revolver unlocks after you've sent 7,500 enemies to their pixelated graves. To get the Axe, you need to kill 2,000 enemies specifically with the Sword. The Dexecutioner, its bigger, angrier brother, demands 12,500 Sword kills. And once you finally unlock the ridiculous Slutty Rocket, you’ll need to rack up another 7,500 kills with it to get your hands on the Mines.

My advice? Don't even think about it. Just play the game. These will unlock naturally as you grind out everything else. If you're feeling impatient, crank up the difficulty on the first Forest stage and just let the final swarm wash over you. It's a great way to rack up kills quickly.

Character Loyalty and Odd Jobs

Some weapons demand you pledge allegiance to a specific character. To get the Aegis, you have to play as Sir Oofie and block 500 damage with Armor. The gloriously named Space Noodle is your reward for beating the Desert Tier 2 boss as Tony McZoom. The Slutty Rocket itself is locked behind getting 15,000 total kills as CL4NK. And for the Dragon's Breath, you’ll need to play as Fox and kill 1,000 of those floaty ghost bastards (Wisps) on the Desert map.

Then there are the weird, one-off challenges. Find a randomly hidden banana in the Forest to unlock the Bananarang. Survive for two straight minutes without taking a single hit to get the Aura. To get the Hero Sword, you have to beat a stage boss without picking up a single item, powerup, or touching a shrine. You can only use the upgrades you get from leveling up. It sucks, but the sword is worth it.

The RNG Lottery

Get ready to pray to whatever gods you believe in, because some unlocks are pure, agonizing luck. The Shotgun has a 5% chance to drop from a Tumbleweed on Desert Stage 2. The Katana also has a 5% chance, but from Tumbleweeds on Desert Stage 1. Yes, you will spend an entire run just chasing digital tumbleweeds. It's a rite of passage.

The Frostwalker is another one that depends on the whims of fate. You need to find a legendary item called the Ice Cube and then use it to freeze 1,000 enemies. It’s a great item, but finding it in the first place is the real challenge.

A Quick Reference for Your Arsenal

Look, that's a lot to remember in the heat of battle. Here's a quick and dirty summary of every unlockable weapon in a handy table. You can thank me later.

Tome Lords and True Endgamers

The rest of the weapons are tied to leveling up Tomes during a run. Get the Precision Tome to level 10 for the Sniper Rifle. The Knockback Tome at level 10 will get you the Black Hole. Level the Blood Tome to 12 for Blood Magic, and the elusive Luck Tome to 12 for the Dice.

Finally, the Corrupted Sword. This one's a bastard. First, you have to unlock the Cursed Tome by beating a stage boss in under five minutes. Then, on a future run, you have to get that Cursed Tome to level 20 in under 10 minutes. It requires a perfect run focused entirely on XP gain, but the weapon you get is a monster.

Just remember, once you meet any of these requirements, you still have to go back to the main menu and actually buy the weapon in the Unlocks tab. Happy hunting. Don't go insane.
