My Take

If I have learned anything from sinking over a hundred hours into this game, it is that raw numbers rarely tell the whole story. I used to chase the Forbidden weapons for that massive physical attack stat, but the accuracy and speed penalties usually ended up getting my party wiped in the endgame trials.

My advice is to prioritize the Battle-Tested gear first. The passive effects like "Potency of Physical Attacks" or "Reduce Target Defense" usually outweigh the raw stat dumps of the Forbidden set. Plus, you don't have to deal with the headache of missing every other swing. Now get out there, contend with some grandmas, and gear up.
