The Secret Achievement Hunter's Guide to PowerWash Simulator 2
Because just cleaning things isn't enough for us, is it? We need the validation.
Look, PowerWash Simulator 2 is mostly a zen, chill experience about making things sparkle. But for those of us who need a little extra spice (or are just obsessive achievement hunters), the game hides a bunch of job-specific challenges.
These won't give you any in-game cash or rewards, but they will pop those sweet, sweet trophies or achievements. Most of them are pretty easy, so don't stress. Here’s how I knocked them all out.
Campfire: Hit the Lights
This one's simple. For the "Hit the Lights" challenge, you have to clean the four lanterns first, and you must use only the red nozzle. One's on the ground right at the start, one's by the shack chair, one's on the firepit rim, and the last is near the telescope. Just zap 'em all before touching anything else.
Solar System: Cosmic Ordering
For "Cosmic Ordering," you have to be meticulous. You must clean the Sun first, then every planet in its correct order from the sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and finally Neptune. I was super careful not to hit the plaques or any of the planet rings. Just focus on the planets themselves, get the achievement pop, and then go back for the rest.
Fun House: Spin Doctor & Glissando!
This job is the only one with two challenges, so pay attention. First, for "Spin Doctor," you need to buy the surface cleaner from the shop. Then, just find one of those rotating floor discs inside and clean it only with that attachment.
For the second one, "Glissando!," head upstairs to the giant piano. The fastest way I found was up the slides on the right, through the door, and onto the balcony. Just start at the low (left) key and spray in one straight line all the way across to hit every key in order.
Dog Car: Doggy Bath
This one requires the soap attachment. For "Doggy Bath," you just have to get soap on every single part of the car at the same time. You don't need to fully coat them, just make sure every task on the list has some soap on it. Just circle it and spray like mad.
Town Floats: Squeaky Clean
Patience is key for "Squeaky Clean." You have to clean the big mouse on the last float last. Wash everything else in the entire level first. Then, go back and finish off its ears, body, and tail.
Car and Trailer: Message Received
An easy one. For "Message Received," just clean the satellite dish on the trailer's roof before you touch literally anything else. Spray it down, get the pop, and move on.
Bandstand: Hatching a Plan
This one's about precision. "Hatching a Plan" requires you to clean the hatch in the center of the gazebo floor last. This is tricky. I accidentally got the edges wet while doing the floor, but it was fine as long as I didn't fully clean it until everything else was done.
Rock climbing Park: Flying Start
For "Flying Start," you have to clean the giant pterodactyl at the very top of the mountain first. Climb up the volcano and blast it, but be careful to avoid cleaning the bar it's perched on.
Teapot Tea Room: Tea Time
This is a silly one. "Tea Time" needs you to find six gnomes and place one on each of the six seats outside the teapot house. I cleaned the seats first just to be safe, and it seemed to work. The gnomes are easy to find: two by the flowerpots, one on the roof, and three scattered around the level's edges.
Roller Disco: Make It All Shine
Another "clean this first" challenge. For "Make It All Shine," you have to clean the glitterball on the ceiling before anything else. I had to use a ladder to reach the top. Just be careful with your spray so you don't accidentally clean a wall panel.
Shopping Mall: Wise Decision
Simple. "Wise Decision" means you clean the big owl in the center of the mall first. Grab a ladder or lift to make it easier, and just clean its body and wings while ignoring everything else.
Stone Circle: Floor is Lava
This was actually kind of fun. "Floor is Lava" means you have to stand on every pillar without touching the ground. I started on the shortest pillar on one side and just ran and jumped to each one in a half-circle until I landed on the shortest one on the other side.
Gas Station: Drop the Ball
Easy peasy. For "Drop the Ball," go behind the gas station and find the soccer ball. Just pick it up and drop it at the top of the playground slide so it rolls down. It doesn't even have to be a perfect roll.
Shooting Gallery: Where's Woolly?
"Where's Woolly?" is a bit tricky. You have to clean the moving Bigfoot target first. It moves fast, so I had to be careful with my timing to avoid spraying the wall behind it and accidentally cleaning something else. Luckily, it's small and cleans up fast.
Mini Roller Coaster: Ticket to Ride
This is the easiest achievement in the game. For "Ticket to Ride," just sit on the roller coaster, look left, and press the "Start Croc Ride" button. Wait for one full loop, and it's done.
Motel: Door to Door
This one requires care. "Door to Door" tasks you with cleaning all six room doors, their handles, and their numbers first. There are three on the bottom floor and three up top. I had to be super careful not to spray the floor mats or the walls around them.
Theater: Front Row Seats
Finally, "Front Row Seats." You have to clean the entire front row of seats first. This was tedious. I had to clean every cushion and armrest, then squat to get the bases, and finally circle behind to clean the back frames, all while avoiding the seats in the next row.
