You Can Soon Play 'Red Dead Redemption' On Your Phone for Free (If You Have Netflix)
Just as we're all digesting the news of a native Red Dead 1 port for the next gen consoles, another, wilder listing has just appeared.
That's right. Red Dead Redemption is coming to your phone. An official App Store page has popped up for "Red Dead Redemption NETFLIX", confirming the game is coming to both iPhone and iPad. It's also heading to Android via the Google Play Store.
The App Store page lists an expected release date of December 4, 2025.
'Free' (With Your Netflix Subscription)
Just like the GTA Trilogy before it, this isn't a separate purchase. The "Get" button on the App Store confirms it's a free download, but the game will require an active Netflix membership to play.
This is a massive get for Netflix's gaming library. No extra fees, no ads, and no in-app purchases.
It Includes 'Undead Nightmare'
This isn't just the base game. According to reports, this port will be the complete single-player experience, bundling in the beloved Undead Nightmare expansion.
The one thing it won't have is the original multiplayer mode. This is a strictly single-player package, which, let's be honest, is what we all wanted anyway.
It looks like Rockstar and Netflix are moving fast. The App Store page is live, and December 4 is right around the corner. Get ready to clear some space on your phone.
