Cram More Friends Into Your Death-Trap RV: Mod Breaks Player Cap in 'RV There Yet?'

You know what's better than trying to survive a disastrous RV trip with three friends? Trying it with seven. Or maybe even twenty-three, if you're truly insane.

RV There Yet? is one of those delightfully janky co-op experiences where the goal is simple: get your RV home after a vacation gone wrong. The catch? You're forced onto a backcountry route through Mabutts Valley, need to manage resources like burgers and EpiPens, and the RV itself handles like a drunken whale. Oh, and did I mention the physics-based winches? It's designed for up to four players, coordinating (or failing spectacularly) to drive, navigate, and keep the rust bucket moving.

But what if four players just isn't enough chaos for you? Enter the aptly named "MoreRVers" mod.

Breaking the Limit

Created by modder A-Zzi, MoreRVers does exactly what it says on the tin: it jacks up the maximum player count for RV There Yet?. Using the UE4SS modding framework (a tool for tinkering with Unreal Engine games), this mod patches the game at runtime, meaning you don't need to permanently mess with game files.

The beauty is in its simplicity and flexibility. The host just needs the mod installed and configured; clients joining the game don't need anything extra. A simple config file lets the host set the desired player limit, anywhere from a lonely 1 up to a frankly terrifying 24 players.

How Much Chaos Can You Handle?

Now, just because you can cram two dozen people into a virtual RV doesn't mean you should. The modder recommends a cap of 8 players for "optimal stability". I can only imagine the sheer pandemonium of trying to coordinate winch maneuvers, grilling patties, smoking cigarettes (yes, really), and keeping the RV fueled with more than double the intended crew size. Proximity chat with that many people sounds like a recipe for glorious disaster.

The mod uses UE4SS (specifically recommending the experimental v3.0.1 branch or newer) for its magic. Installation seems straightforward enough for anyone familiar with UE4SS: drop the mod in the right folder, enable it in the mods.txt file, and tweak the config.ini to set your preferred level of madness.

More Friends, More Problems (More Fun?)

This is exactly the kind of community creativity that keeps these quirky co-op games alive. While the base game offers plenty of fun with four, the potential for escalating absurdity with a larger group is undeniable. Will it be stable? Maybe not. Will it be balanced? Absolutely not. Will it be hilarious? Almost certainly.

If you and a whole bunch of your mates fancy piling into a virtual RV for a trip that's guaranteed to go off the rails, the MoreRVers mod might just be your ticket to co-op carnage. Just make sure someone remembers the EpiPens.
