Where Winds Meet Qinghe Cat Guide: Where To Find Every Furry Jerk And Magic Feline

If you thought you could escape the internet's obsession with cats by retreating to a Wuxia RPG set in ancient China, you were dead wrong.

Where Winds Meet has build an build entire progression systems around cats. In the starting region of Qinghe alone, you are going to be harassing felines constantly for Exploration Points and upgrades. However, the game does a terrible job of explaining that there are two distinct types of cats: Cat Play kittens, which are just normal cats you pet for serotonin, and Meow Meows, which are magical taskmasters that demand you solve puzzles or run obstacle courses. I tracked down every single one of them so you don't have to. (interactive map credit to Map Genie)

The "Cat Play" Kittens (Free Exploration Points)

These are the easy ones. There are 21 of these little guys scattered across Qinghe. They don't require magic or quick reflexes; they just want attention.

Finding them adds to your "Sentient Beings" collection and grants Area Exploration points. It is basically free XP for pressing the "Pet" button. Do not skip these, or you will be underleveled and lonely.

Meow Meow Challenges (The Puzzles)

Meow Meows are different. You can't just pet them, you have to earn their respect. Completing these challenges gives you Bells, which are the currency used at the Meow Meow Temple Shop to buy cosmetics and items.

There are 31 of these in Qinghe. They come in four flavors: Will-o'-the-Wisp (Timed runs), Puzzles (Logic), Bamboo Cut (Combat), and Cat Chase (Parkour).

The Logic Puzzles

These are the ones that will actually make you think. Usually, you need a specific Mystic Skill unlocked to solve them. If you get stuck, check if you have the required skill (like "Wind Sense" or "Meridian Touch").

MEOW MEOW PUZZLE SOLUTIONS

Don't overthink it. Here is the cheat sheet.
