How to Get All 900 Merits in the 'ARC Raiders' Community Event

The first ARC Raiders community event is live today, and it's a good old-fashioned grind-a-thon.

ARC Raiders' 'Breaking New Ground' event is live today, November 13. Here's how to donate materials, earn up to 900 Merits, and what Merits are used for.

Embark just kicked off the "North Line" update with a Community Unlock Event called "Breaking New Ground," and it all starts today, November 13. We've all got a new job: those tunnels to the new Stella Montis map won't build themselves.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what you need to do, and more importantly, what you get for it.

What Is the 'Breaking New Ground' Event?

This is a community-wide effort to unlock the new map. The engineering crews in Speranza need materials, and we're the ones who have to get them.

Anyone who has played at least five rounds can participate. Your job is to go topside, farm basic materials, and donate them to the tunnel project.

The materials needed are the junk you're already picking up:

  • Metal Parts

  • Fabric

  • Chemicals

  • Rubber Parts

  • Plastic Parts

What Are Merits (And How Do I Get My 900?)

Here's the real reason you'll be grinding. While your donations help the community unlock the map, they also earn you a new event currency: Merits.

As the event card shows, you can earn "up to 900 Merits" for your personal contributions. This is the cap for your personal reward.

These Merits are the key to the next phase of the update. Once we all unlock Stella Montis, it will trigger "Phase II: Staking Our Claim". This is a new, limited-time progression track, and those 900 Merits you just earned will be the currency you "use to claim rewards" in it.

So, even if you hit your 900 Merit cap, you should keep donating. Those extra materials will "speed up the expansion" and help everyone unlock the new map and reward track faster.

Get to farming, Raiders. Those rewards won't earn themselves.
