Assassin's Creed Hexe Reveal Is in No Rush, According to Insider
Assassin's Creed Hexe isn't launching until at least the second half of 2027, and insider Nate the Hate says that's exactly why Ubisoft feels no pressure to reveal it anytime soon.
No Launch Before Late 2027
Asked directly when Hexe would get its reveal, Nate the Hate responded on Xthat the game won't launch until the second half of 2027 at the earliest, adding that Ubisoft doesn't need to rush an announcement. Simple enough logic. A reveal doesn't need to happen a year and a half out from launch, no matter how loud the requests get in someone's replies.
Fall Is Still the Default, Even If the Last Two Broke the Pattern
The usual complaint followed almost immediately in the replies: recent mainline Assassin's Creed games haven't stuck to the traditional fall release window Ubisoft leaned on for years. The last couple of entries landed outside that stretch, one reason being that Shadows, the most recent mainline game, slipped from its original fall target after running into QA issues. Still, the four mainline entries before that all clustered around October and November, so fall remains the reasonable assumption until Ubisoft says otherwise.
A witch-themed Assassin's Creed landing anywhere near Halloween writes its own marketing, and it wouldn't be the first time a horror-adjacent release leaned into that timing on purpose.
Why the Wait Might Actually Be Worth It
Shadows carried a heavier burden than just being one game. It reportedly served as the first entry built on a new, unified development pipeline meant to let Ubisoft turn out Assassin's Creed titles more consistently going forward, which would explain why that game alone ate up so much extra development time. If that groundwork holds up, Hexe benefits from infrastructure Shadows had to build from nothing, which could mean a steadier path to launch even with the game still over a year out. That's a reasonable read on the situation rather than anything officially confirmed, but it lines up with how these unified engine transitions tend to play out industry-wide.
Nothing about Hexe's reveal date, marketing beats, or release window is locked in yet, and Ubisoft hasn't put a number on any of it publicly. For now, the timeline according to this report simply rules out anything before mid-2027, which at least puts a floor under the speculation.
