Black Ops 7 Zombies Guide: Surviving the Nuked Challenge Event
Treyarch dropped the radioactive dust on us a day ago, and I've already grinded out the details you need to survive.
I know you were hoping to drop straight into the massive Kowakujo round-based map at launch. Sadly, that chunk of content is locked away in the vault until Season 4 Reloaded drops. To soften the blow, you get a brand new mode and the Nuked Survival Map right now. To celebrate this launch, there is also a limited-time Nuked Event that kicked off on June 4. You're roughly a day late to the party, but before you panic about missing out, I've got your back with a complete breakdown of what you need to do.
Understanding the Nuked Challenge Event
The structure here is a straightforward, brutal checklist tied exclusively to the new survival map.
You jump in, check off specific tasks, and earn a cosmetic item along with a nice chunk of XP for your trouble. Your ultimate goal is knocking out all six base challenges to unlock the Chronology Mastery Camo. You have a very strict deadline to keep in mind. The whole thing shuts down on June 11 at 10 AM PT. Once that clock hits zero, these cosmetics vanish into the void for good.
Complete Event Rewards and Challenges
Before you waste your ammo running aimlessly, you need to know exactly what the game wants from you. Earning a Gift Card GobbleGum from a zombie feels exactly like the kind of low-effort present that one strange uncle hands me on my birthday, but free gear is still free gear.
Mastering the Blundergat Challenge
I know the Blundergat task sounds like pure torture. Getting ten kills without reloading fifteen separate times can easily put you six feet under if you try doing it the hard way.
Before you waste three hours trying to perfectly time your shots, you need to exploit the mechanics. You can't just build the weapon in Nuked Survival. You have to pray to the random number generator and pull it from the Mystery Box or earn it by finishing T.E.D.D. Trials. I highly recommend chewing a Wonderbar GobbleGum right before hitting the box to boost your chances.
Once you finally hold the gun, you need to bypass the agonizing reload animation entirely. Equip Frenzied Guard and make sure your Frenzy Fire Augment is active. If you rely more on GobbleGums, pack Stock Option or Free Fire into your loadout. Using any of these three tricks lets you hold down the trigger and clear out the undead without pausing. It turns a nightmare challenge into a quick walk in the park.
