Code Vein 2 Haze Farming Guide: How To Break The Economy In Ten Minutes
If you are tired of getting one-shot by trash mobs because you are under-leveled, I have found a way to completely break the game's economy in about ten minutes.
I honestly hate grinding. There is nothing fun about running in circles killing the same three rats for hours just to equip a new jacket. But Code Vein 2 has a few spawn locations that feel almost unfinished, like the developers forgot to add a respawn timer or a difficulty scaler. I have exploited these spots to hit level 70 before I even finished the early game, and if you want to trivialize the difficulty curve, you should too.
The Early Game King: Gorge Cave
This is the spot that feels like an oversight. Right after you leave the sanatorium in Hero Holly's timeline, you get access to an underground area called Gorge Cave.
Most players walk right past this. Do not do that.
There is a ritual room right past the mistle with 11 enemies. The trick here is that these enemies do not scale, they always spawn in the exact same spots, and they have zero survival instinct.
The Setup:
Weapon: Idris Battle Axe (+2 or higher). You need the damage breakpoint to one-shot the armored guys.
Skill: Bequeathed Formae (The time-slow axe). This is non-negotiable.
Buff: Adrenaline.
The Loop: You leave the mistle, walk down the stairs, and jump from the middle directly into the rear group of cultists. Cast the Bequeathed Axe immediately. It wipes out the six weak mobs instantly. Then you turn around and cast it two more times on the armored guys walking towards you like lemmings.
The whole thing takes about 12 seconds. You get around 3,700 Haze per run. Do the math. That is over 200,000 Haze an hour for doing basically nothing. It is boring, efficient, and absolutely broken.
The Mid-Game Nuke: Grotto Military Base
Once you hit the Undead Forest region, the Gorge Cave starts to lose its luster. That is when you move to the Grotto Military Base.
This spot is ridiculous. We are talking about 1.2 million Haze per hour if you are optimal. You reach this via the Abandoned Farm mistle in the Undead Forest. There is a side dungeon there that acts as a Haze printing press.
The Strategy: You want a Tainted Bayonet or Tainted Sword here. The enemies are tougher, so you need burst damage. I use Sacrificial Edge to boost my damage output and Energy Cleave to wipe out groups.
The loop is longer than the Gorge Cave, but the payout is massive. You run through the inner section, nuking the elite enemies with your openers, and reset at the resurrection monument. It requires a bit more brainpower than the Gorge Cave, but the returns are worth it.
How To Maximize The Greed
If you really want to min-max this, you need to look at your Boosters and consumables.
Revenant's Hunger Booster: You can get this from Jadwiga by exchanging Spectral materials. It increases Haze drops as long as you aren't overburdened. Note that it is currently a bit buggy with some enemies, but when it works, it's free money.
Military Rations: These give you a boost, but they wear off when you rest at a Mistle. Since these farming loops rely on constantly resting at a Mistle to reset spawns, these are useless for this specific strategy. Save them for long exploration runs, not farming loops.
One final warning: If you do this for too long, you will ruin the game for yourself. Bosses are meant to be a challenge, not a speedbump you roll over because you are fifty levels higher than you should be. But hey, if you want to feel like a god, get to farming.
