Nioh 3 Trophy & Achievement Guide (Platinum Roadmap)

Getting every single trophy in Nioh 3 requires an absurd amount of patience and a high tolerance for getting sliced in half.

I have spent an unhealthy amount of time getting battered by demons just to map out this completionist run for you. The good news is that absolutely nothing in this game is missable. If you accidentally skip a hidden hot spring or forget to shoot a specific bird during a boss fight, you can always use the Battle Scroll at any shrine to replay the mission. You can knock out all 51 trophies in a single playthrough if you are diligent.

To keep you from losing your mind, I broke down the entire achievement list into manageable chunks.

The Campaign and Combat Grind

You will naturally trip over a good chunk of these just by dragging your bloody corpse through the main story. The combat trophies require you to actually engage with the mechanics instead of just blindly mashing the attack button.

STORY & COMBAT TROPHIES

The essential milestones for beating demons and upgrading your gear.

Achievement Name	How to Unlock It
You Are Nioh	Earn every other trophy on this list. The ultimate bragging right.
Budding Talent / Grizzled Veteran	Reach Level 10, and then Level 100. You will hit this naturally by just playing.
Story Milestones	You get eight unmissable trophies just for beating the campaign bosses (from Guiding Mirror up to As Shogun).
Arts Proficiency	Land the killing blow on 10 enemies using a heavy attack enhanced by your Arts Proficiency gauge. Look for the blue glow on your weapon.
Ninjutsu	Kill 10 enemies using your Ninja form gadgets or magic. Weaken them with your sword first to make this easy.
Burst Break	Swap forms right before an enemy hits you with a red aura attack to stun them. Do this 10 times.
Guardian Spirit's Aid	Perform a Burst Break using a Guardian Spirit skill. You unlock this ability after the A Fiery Invasion mission.
Crucible Arts Adopted	Equip a Crucible weapon (red skull icon) and get enough kills with it to learn its unique Martial Art.
Yokai Manipulator / Soul Core Owner	Purify a dropped Soul Core at a shrine, then use a Summoning Seal in combat to let the yokai attack an enemy.
The Blacksmith Hustle	You get four easy trophies for using the blacksmith to Forge, Remodel, and Soul Match gear, plus one for equipping a full set of armor to activate its bonus.

The Collectible Nightmare

Prepare to spend hours sniffing out glowing ferrets and hidden hot springs. The developers love hiding vital collectibles in the most obnoxious corners of the map. Check every single alleyway.

EXPLORATION & COLLECTIBLES

Finding all the hidden junk scattered across the open zones.

Achievement Name	How to Unlock It
Answering to the People	Complete all the side quests (Myths). The only tricky ones are the hidden Yokai Horde Picture Scroll and Seeking Rare Yokai missions in Heian and Bakumatsu.
Explorer	Hit Exploration Level 4 in any single region by knocking out myths, spikes, and collectibles.
Devotee	Walk up to and unlock every named shrine and Bodhisattva Statue in the game. Look for the green dots on your map.
Eagle-Eyed	Shoot the hovering white balls in the open world to spawn the Chijiko ferrets. Pet all of them.
Scampuss Enthusiast	Chase down and pet every rotund Scampuss cat in the game. Trade at least one of their furballs in the Eternal Rift to grab a second trophy.
Spa Lover	Find and bathe in every single healing hot spring hidden across the maps.
Kodama Leader	Interact with all the little green Kodama guys to send them back to your shrines.
Visiting the Six Jizo	Locate and pray at all of the Six Jizo statues scattered in the wild.
Unimpeded	Use every Guardian Spirit traversal ability at least once on the Spirit Veins.
Total Control	Wipe out all 26 enemy bases. Look for the red oni icons, kill the targets, and loot the chests.
Lesser Crucible Eradicator	Kill the guards and purify every single red fire spike in the game.

Bosses, Masters, and Odd Jobs

Slaying massive demons is only half the battle. You also have to fetch literal feces for a guy standing in a swamp to secure this platinum.

HIDDEN BOSSES & OBSCURE TASKS

The weird and easily overlooked achievements.

Achievement Name	How to Unlock It
A God Among Men	Track down and defeat all 13 human Masters to unlock their unique weapon skills. Some require late-game traversal abilities to reach.
Kunimatsu's Demons	Kill three optional bosses. Pride is north of the Sengan Waterfall. Envy is in the Hachijo region. Obsession is near the Mibu Temple shrine.
Senji Toyo	Talk to the blacksmith after killing the Great Tengu Boss to clear the "Memories in the Blade" myth.
Ruckus in the Sanctuary	Shoot the three massive projectile-firing crows during the Black Feather Sanctuary mission until they flee.
Pain, Pain, Go Away	During the final mission, A Sinister End, shoot the lightning bird every single time it appears to drive it off. Hoard your ammo for this.
Distant Memories	Bathe with Himiko in the hot spring during the Dark Roots mission. Then, load up the Apparition of Ryotan Temple mission and bathe in that spring to trigger the dialogue.
Like-Minded Friends	Finish the hidden Seeking Rare Yokai myth and complete the Guardian Spirit painting at the end of the mission.
Dung Ball Roller	Find the samurai stuck in the swamp during the Putrid Paradise myth. Later, talk to him behind the blacksmith and feed him 30 Dung Balls dropped by enemies. Gross, but mandatory.
Nothing Left to Learn	Clear the Novice and Adept training missions for Hanzo and Yagyu, then defeat their final Veteran missions at the shrine.
Teamwork	Beat three missions in co-op mode, or just summon the blue NPC graves if you hate playing with real people.
