Destiny 2 Archie Location Guide: How To Find And Pet The Tower Robot Dog

Bungie shuffled everyone's favorite mechanical dog to a new corner of the Tower for the final live-service send-off.

I loaded into the final update ready to knock out my checklist, only to realize the local good boy wasn't sitting in his usual spot. If you haven't logged into the game in a few years, you might not even know who Archie is, but he's a cheerful robot dog who holds the key to an incredibly easy Triumph. He hasn't been sunset or deleted from the game. He's just resting up in a slightly more comfortable lounge area on the west side of the map. Before you spend twenty minutes running around the empty pathways of the Courtyard, you can use this quick route to walk straight to him.

Tracking Archie Down In The Bazaar

You don't need to mount a massive search party to track him down because he's still within the safe walls of the social space.

To reach him, you want to spawn into the Tower Courtyard, hang a right, and follow the familiar path down into the Bazaar. Keep running straight through the market area until you're standing right in front of Ikora Rey. From there, look over to your right and you'll spot a hallway entrance on the ground floor.

Walk through that archway toward the far end of the Bazaar decking, and you'll enter a balcony lounge area covered in red rugs and sheets. You'll see a human emissary of the Nine named Lodi hanging out on the lounge decking. Archie is sitting right behind Lodi to keep him company.

Activating The Good Boy Protocol

Once you track down the correct balcony, the actual mechanical interaction is a breeze.

Walk up to the robotic dog and you'll see a prompt appear on your screen. You need to press Square if you're playing on a PlayStation controller or X if you're using an Xbox pad. This triggers the official Activate Good Boy Protocol, letting you pet him as much as your heart desires.

After you finish hanging out with him, make sure you actually collect your paycheck. You need to open up your Journey menu, head into the Monument of Triumph page, and check under the Stories tab inside the Tower section. Clicking the completed "Can You Pet the Dog?" Triumph will secure you a clean 10 Legendary Marks.

While 10 marks won't buy you much on their own at the vendors, they add up quickly when combined with the other steps in my Destiny 2 Legendary Marks farming guide. If you really want to show off your dedication, petting Archie also allows you to add a permanent tracker tally to your emblem. You can leave that counter on whatever number you want, though stopping at a ridiculous number is highly encouraged.

Grabbing The Chatterwhite Shader Nearby

Since you're already in the neighborhood, you might as well take care of another final vanity goal while you're on this side of the map.

If you are hunting down the iconic Chatterwhite shader from the legacy kiosks, you're going to need to complete a separate Triumph called For The Bird. This requirement forces you to have a chat with Hawthorne. Conveniently, she's standing right near Archie's new balcony setup anyway, so you can walk right over to her balcony to progress the step without needing to load back into a separate fast travel point. Clearing these localized Tower steps first will save you an immense amount of menu surfing later.

Monument Pillar Available Stock
Tenet of Bravery (Pillar 1) Event Weapons, Event Armor, Fafnir Exotic Weapon, Ships, Armor Ornaments, Weapon Ornaments
Tenet of Devotion SRL Cosmetics, Ghost Shells, Vehicles
Tenet of Bravery (Pillar 3) Armor Ornaments, Emotes, Ships, Ghost Shells
Tenet of Death Armor Ornaments, Emblems, Shaders, Ships

If you finish all 204 baseline Triumphs and still find yourself short on cosmetics, don't panic. The currency is infinitely earnable. You can keep farming small packets of marks indefinitely by clearing out the recurring weekly objectives located over in the seasonal hub.

The Most Efficient Path To Max Marks

You can technically check off these boxes in any order you want, but some of these categories will absolutely murder your free time if you tackle them blindly. Before you waste hours chasing single objectives, you should structure your play sessions to double-dip your progression naturally.

Step 1: Abuse the Teamwork and Combat Synergy

I recommend starting your daily routine by queuing directly into Vanguard Strikes and Battlegrounds under the Teamwork menu. These missions are completely linear, incredibly predictable, and you can burn through them in minutes with a casual matchmade group.

The real trick here is passive efficiency. While you are mindlessly sprinting through these strikes, you will automatically build massive progress toward the Targets checklist inside your Combat tab. Knocking out combatants in cooperative playlists lets you clear two major sources of marks at the exact same time without adding any extra steps to your evening.

Step 2: Clear Campaigns and Overworld Horizons

Once you exhaust the strike milestones, you need to pivot directly to the Campaign tab. These story entries are definitely longer than a quick battleground encounter, but the actual mechanical demands are dead simple. I suggest grouping up with a couple of friends to melt the boss health bars and cut your overall mission times in half.

Right after the story content, you want to clear out the Worlds category. This section is essentially a massive pile of free money. Most of the requirements just ask you to explore the overworld locations across different planets. It's a peaceful change of pace that doesn't involve dodging incoming sniper fire.

Step 3: PvP Milestones and the Endgame Lockout

If you have a decent grasp on competitive matches, you can easily knock out the entire Competitions category inside a standard week. You can secure quick completions by jumping into basic Crucible modes like running a 3v3 match three separate times. If you completely despise traditional competitive gunfights, you can pivot over to the Sparrow Racing League (SRL) to secure your currency on the racetrack instead. Just keep an eye on the schedule for Trials of Osiris, since that specific competitive weekend playlist only cycles back into rotation once every four weeks.

You should leave Raid Challenges and Exotic Missions for the absolute end of your seasonal journey. These high-tier milestones demand a massive time investment and a highly coordinated fireteam to pull off safely. Save them for when you can assemble a dedicated weekend team, and clear out the easy solo steps first so you can walk into the final raids with a fully loaded wallet.
