Fatal Fury: CotW Season 2 Leaked – Geese is Back and He Looks Pissed
SNK apparently can’t keep a secret to save their lives because the entire Season 2 roadmap for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves just hit the internet way ahead of schedule.
I love it when publishers try to coordinate a massive marketing beat only for someone to press the "publish" button a few days too early. It wasn't a malicious hack or a disgruntled employee this time around. It seems the Japanese outlet GameSpark uploaded an interview prematurely that contained the entire rollout for the first half of 2026. They pulled it down fast but the internet is faster. The screenshots are already circulating and the cat is officially out of the bag.
The Full Roster Breakdown
I have seen plenty of ambitious DLC schedules in my time but this one is running at a breakneck pace. According to the leak preserved on a ResetEra thread, SNK is planning to drop one character every single month starting in January. That is an insane cadence for a fighting game. Usually I have to wait three or four months between drops while the meta gets stale. Here is exactly who is showing up to punch you in the face.
The Monthly Rollout
The year kicks off in January with Kim Jae Hoon. If you played Garou: Mark of the Wolves you know exactly what to expect here. He is the younger son of Kim Kaphwan and usually the one with the flames. I always preferred his moveset over his brother's so this is a solid start.
Things get dark in February with Nightmare Geese. Because apparently dealing with regular Geese Howard wasn't traumatic enough for the cast. This is usually the undead or hallucination version of the crime boss and he tends to be absurdly powerful.
March brings back Blue Mary. She is a staple at this point and it feels weird when she isn't on a roster. Her grappling style is going to be a nightmare to deal with if the netcode isn't perfect.
April rounds out the confirmed names with Wolfgang Krauser. The half-brother of Geese and a massive tank of a human being. I am expecting armor on all his moves and a health bar that refuses to go down.
The Mystery Slots and Guest Rumors
The leaked timeline didn't stop at April but the concrete names did. I saw two "Mystery Character" slots listed for May and June. The interview text apparently dropped some heavy hints that have me losing my mind a little bit.
Fist of the North Star?
The text teases a collaboration with a "friend from the wasteland" or something to that effect. Everyone is pointing toward Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. If that happens I might actually scream. Putting Kenshiro in a Fatal Fury game is such a perfect stylistic match that I can't believe it hasn't happened sooner.
Art of Fighting Representation
The other slot is teased to be someone from the Art of Fighting series. This is vague territory. It could be Ryo Sakazaki but he is usually in everything. I am hoping for someone a bit more obscure like King or even Jack Turner just for the laughs. Either way it looks like SNK is trying to keep player retention high by flooding us with content. I just hope the developers aren't sleeping under their desks to hit these monthly deadlines.
