Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Guide: Tracking Every Boss and Mythic Weapon
Hunting down a Mythic weapon in the new season means playing a deadly game of hide and seek with three wildly unpredictable targets.
The island is currently hosting three major boss NPCs with the possibility of more dropping in future updates. If you want the absolute best gear in your loadout, you have to find and eliminate Voidblade, Skeletor, and Wolfe. The catch is that they refuse to sit in one spot. As soon as the first storm circle closes, they drop into a random selection of designated zones. You will know you are close when you hear their specific audio cue and see a red skull flash on your mini map. Just keep in mind that the skull only pops up if you are within a 200 meter radius and it won't show up on the main map at all.
Before you waste ten matches running in circles on foot, drop near The Battlewoods and immediately grab a car. Driving cuts down your search time drastically. Also, these enemies take a second to get annoyed if you bump into them. They won't shoot on sight right away, but they will absolutely defend themselves the second you pull the trigger.
Boss Spawn Zones
You will primarily find these targets roaming the terrain around Calamari Canyon and the Frosted Flats. Since their exact locations rotate every single match, you need to systematically check these specific spawn points to secure a fight.
North of Heatwave Harbor.
Among the trees directly north of Calamari Canyon.
The Collider Corridor north of Calamari Canyon.
Near the Extractor Point northeast of Calamari Canyon.
The snowy stretch between Battlewoods and Wonkeeland.
The snowy patch southwest of Latte Landing.
West of The Battlewoods.
Near the trees where Battlewoods meets the Zero Point.
At the Extraction Site west of Golden Grove.
The Targets and Their Loot
Every boss drops a Chug Jug and either a Legendary or Mythic version of their signature weapon upon defeat. The rarity is entirely dependent on RNG, so you might have to farm these fights a few times to get the top tier drop. Here is exactly what you are walking into and how to put them down efficiently.
Skeletor
Skeletor wields the Reacher Extending Shotgun, which boasts improved reach and better damage at range compared to standard variants. During combat, he periodically waves his staff to restore his shields. He can't heal his actual health pool, but that shield regeneration will ruin your run if you don't maintain consistent damage. He also fires easily avoidable ranged projectiles. Stay back, use an Assault Rifle or SMG to out-damage his healing, and keep clear of his devastating shotgun blasts.
Voidblade
Voidblade relies heavily on verticality and pressure. She uses a tactical Burst Rifle that features increased accuracy when aiming down the sights. Her main strategy involves jumping high into the air and briefly swapping to a sword when she lands. You really don't want her directly above you landing free headshots. Use an SMG or your own shotgun to end the fight up close before she can establish a height advantage.
Wolfe
Wolfe is by far the fastest boss on the island. He practically teleports behind you to line up clean shots with his Maven Auto Shotgun. This specific weapon variant has an incredibly forgiving spread, maintaining high effectiveness even if only a few pellets actually hit you. To make matters worse, his howl mechanic reveals your location to anyone nearby in a small radius. You need an SMG and a Shotgun of your own to match his aggressive pace. Keep sliding and sprinting to throw off his tracking and melt his health pool.
