Halo Campaign Evolved: Where to Find the Thirsty Grunt for Food Critic

Spoiler warning: this achievement sits in the final mission, so tread carefully if you haven't gotten there yet.

First-person gameplay from Halo: Campaign Evolved showing the player aiming a shotgun at the Thirsty Grunt easter egg sitting in a corridor on the Pillar of Autumn.

Food Critic doesn't ask much of you. Find one specific Grunt, let him finish his little speech about food, and the achievement pops on its own. The catch is that he's tucked away in a spot most people blow past at full speed, because The Maw's warthog run isn't exactly built for sightseeing.

Where to Find Him

Load into The Maw and pick the Rally Point Charlie checkpoint. That drops you right into the warthog run, past the point where Foehammer goes down on the bridge. From there, the objective marker points you into the hangar tunnel, and that's where most players floor it straight through without looking sideways.

Don't. Keep an eye on the right-hand wall as you drive. Roughly 740 meters out from the objective, there's an open side tunnel cut into that wall, easy to miss if you're focused on outrunning the collapsing ship behind you. Pull in, hop out of the warthog, and head right. The Thirsty Grunt is sitting there mid-rant, and the achievement triggers the moment he opens his mouth.

No combat, no timing window, no fail state. Just don't drive past the tunnel.
