Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault - The Complete Price Guide
Selling dungeon junk to unsuspecting tourists shouldn't be this complicated, yet here we are doing calculus just to afford a health potion.
If there is one thing I have learned from my time with Will's latest adventure, it is that the economy is baffling and customers are fickle. You dive into the Endless Vault, risk your neck fighting weird sludge monsters, and drag back a bag full of ancient artifacts, only for some guy in a hat to frown because you charged him 5 gold too much for a literal magical sword.
The Art of the Deal
I got tired of guessing. I got tired of the sad faces when I overpriced a "Broken Battery" and the suspiciously happy faces when I underpriced a "Sacred Sickle." So, I scoured the internet and compiled the data. The following tables break down the "Perfect" price for every item I've found in the Vault. (Credit to Dizzy on steam, his list has been a huge help)
Now don’t you get me wrong, this isn't about being fair, it's about hitting that sweet spot where the customer grimaces but still opens their wallet. I've categorized everything by rarity because, let's be honest, you're going to dump the Common stuff the second your backpack gets full anyway.
Stepping Up The Inventory
Once you stop digging through the literal trash, you start finding items that actually look like they belong in a museum (or at least a very high-end pawn shop). The Uncommon items are where the profit margins start to look respectable.
High Roller Inventory
Welcome to the big leagues. Rare and Epic items are where you stop worrying about paying rent and start worrying about how to upgrade your shop to look less like a dumpster.
The Retirement Fund
If you find one of these Epic or Legendary items, do not lose it. Do not use it to scratch your back. Place it gently on the shelf and wait for the payday that will let you finally upgrade that bed.
