Arknights: Endfield Depot Node Guide - Stop Running Out of Storage Space
Managing inventory in Arknights: Endfield is a nightmare until you realize you aren't supposed to carry everything in your pockets.
If you are struggling with manual resource management, you are playing the game wrong. Depot Nodes are the answer, they are the backbone of your automation empire, connecting your production lines to a global storage system. Once you unlock them, you can stop running back and forth like an unpaid intern and start acting like a factory manager.
How To Unlock Depot Nodes
You can't just walk up and claim these. You need to progress through the AIC Steward questline first. Specifically, you need to complete the missions "Depot Node 1" and "Depot Node 2" in the Originium Science Park.
You also need to invest AIC Index points into your tech tree. You need Expansion I to unlock the basic functionality, and eventually the Depot Bus node to enable loaders and unloaders that actually move the items for you.
All Depot Node Locations
There are currently four major nodes scattered across Talos-II. You need to activate all of them to maximize your storage cap.
1. Originium Science Park (Valley IV)
This is the first one you will likely find. After finishing the intro quests, you can unlock it for 4,500 Valley Stock Bills. It is located at the southern end of the Transport Nexus.
2. Origin Lodespring (Valley IV)
Once you finish the "Lodespring Crossing" main mission, head north of the Mines Cable Car Station teleport point. It’s sitting right there waiting for you.
3. Power Plateau (Valley IV)
You access this area during the "Entering the Endgame" mission. The node is located just west of the Plateau Trunkway teleport point.
4. Wuling City (Wuling)
This one is trickier. First, complete the "Destination Wuling" mission. Then teleport to Tianjing Courtyard, walk south, defeat the enemies guarding the area, and activate the bridge. It costs a hefty 12,500 Wuling Stock Bills to turn on.
Increasing Your Capacity
Unlocking the node is just step one. To actually increase your storage limit, you need to pay extra Stock Bills to upgrade each node individually.
Valley IV Max Capacity: 80,000 units (once all three nodes are maxed).
Wuling City Max Capacity: 48,000 units (since it currently only has one node).
Delivery Jobs: Don't Ruin The Goods
You can also use these nodes to accept delivery jobs for extra cash. But here is the catch: Teleporting damages the goods.
If you use a TP point while carrying a delivery package, you lose 20% integrity immediately, which means you get paid less. The trick is to set up a Zipline network beforehand. Ziplines count as manual travel, so they don't damage the cargo, allowing you to deliver pristine goods quickly without walking the whole way.
