Forza Horizon 6 Guide - How To Complete The AstroToy Photo Challenge

The first festival playlist is grinding to a halt, meaning you have one final checklist to clear before the Spring season disappears.

If you're sitting a few points shy of those final reward cars, you can't afford to skip the AstroToy Photo Challenge. The game asks you to locate a massive rocket ship and snap a picture of it alongside a specific class of car. The map of Japan is massive, and blindly driving around looking for aerospace equipment is a fantastic way to waste an entire afternoon. Before you spend an hour burning rubber on the wrong side of the map, I went ahead and pinpointed the exact location you need so you can get in, take the shot, and get back to racing.

Tracking Down The Space Port

The launch facility you're looking for is tucked away in the southern reaches of the map.

You need to set a waypoint for the Nangan region, specifically aiming for the extreme southwest corner. If that sounds vaguely familiar, it's the exact same area where you likely tackled the Orange Wristband Launch Control event earlier in your playthrough. Once you pull into the Space Port boundaries, you'll spot two different rockets. Don't bother with the smaller one. You need to focus your camera on the massive rig sitting on the northeast side of the compound. The game officially recognizes this as the HZN-VI Rocket.

Choosing The Right Ride

Finding the rocket is only part of the equation because pulling up in a random offroad truck won't trigger the challenge completion.

You must have a Track Toy category vehicle perfectly framed in your shot. If your garage is currently lacking in that department, take a quick trip to the Autoshow. Use the menu filters to isolate the Track Toy classification so you don't accidentally blow your hard-earned credits on the wrong machine.

I pulled a few eligible examples directly from the roster to give you an idea of what counts for the challenge.

Vehicle Manufacturer Eligible Track Toy Models
BAC Mono (2014)
BMW M3 / M4 (2010 and 2016)
Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 (2015)
Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR (2008)

Claiming Your Rewards

With your newly acquired Track Toy parked next to the HZN-VI rig, simply tap up on your directional pad to open the camera suite.

Line up the vehicle and the rocket in the viewfinder. You can either hit your standard capture button (A on an Xbox controller or X on a PlayStation pad) or tap the Quickshot bumper (RB or R1) to lock it in. If this happens to be your first time photographing this specific landmark, you'll instantly earn a neat bonus of 100 Discover Japan Points for your Collection Journal.

The Final Haul

Completing the core AstroToy challenge unlocks the "Beam Me Up!" phrase for your Forza Link setup. Just head into the Online tab of your pause menu and click on Forza Link to equip it for your next lobby.

More importantly, this checks off a vital box for your overall progression. You need 15 total points to unlock the 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V and a full 30 points to grab the 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5. Knocking out this photo op provides a crucial point injection to help you claim those vintage rides before the season completely vanishes.
