Forza Horizon 6 Guide: Where To Find The Minamino Treasure Chest
You'd think finding a massive blue box on an empty golf course would be easy, but the game map loves to hide things in plain sight.
The Autumn season is officially live in the Welcome to Japan playlist, which means it's time to hunt down another hidden stash of credits. The Minamino region treasure hunt is one of the easiest ways to secure 100,000 credits and a quick three seasonal points. You absolutely need those points if you're pushing for the 15-point 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec or the 30-point 1991 Honda CR-X SiR. If you want to see exactly what else the season offers, I broke down the entire Forza Horizon 6 festival playlist series 1 schedule so you can track your unlocks.
Decoding The Photo Clue
When you open the playlist menu, the game hands you a tiny, unhelpful photo of a bright blue box sitting on a manicured lawn.
The background clearly shows a golf course, but knowing that doesn't really help when you're staring at a massive map. Before you waste thirty minutes randomly driving through sand traps across the entire country, let me narrow it down. The specific golf course you need is located in the Minamino region, which sits just north and slightly northeast of Tokyo City.
Fast Travel Shortcuts
If you don't feel like driving all the way out of the city, you can use the event markers to teleport straight to the area. Look for the Airfield Trail dirt race or the Naruo Cross Country Circuit. Both of these events sit right next to the golf course. Just drop your car at either starting line and drive west onto the grass.
Finding The Exact Chest Location
Once you're actually on the greens, head toward the western edge of the golf club.
You're looking for the highest, most noticeable hill near the northwest section of the course. Drive your car up the incline toward the tree line. You'll spot a golf hole with a white flag sticking out of it. The wooden treasure chest is sitting right next to that flag.
Unlike the classic barn finds, you don't need to trigger a cinematic cutscene to claim your prize. Just line up your bumper, step on the gas, and smash straight through the wooden box. The game immediately deposits the 100,000 credits into your bank account. You're going to need every single credit you can get if you want to buy out the Autoshow, especially when you look at the absurd sticker prices on the Forza Horizon 6 most expensive cars currently available.
Once you smash the chest, make sure you don't forget about the other quick Autumn objectives. If you still need to knock out the photography requirement, you can check out my guide on the Forza Horizon 6 Tokyo Tower photo challenge to grab those last few points before the Winter season takes over.
