Chasing the Heartopia Rainbow Event: How to Find Doris Before She Ghosts You

If you are not staring at the in-game clock like a hawk around 18:00 server time, you are going to miss the only event that actually makes resource gathering in Heartopia feel rewarding.

I have a love-hate relationship with server-timed events. On one hand, it is cool to see the community scramble toward a giant glowing arch in the sky. On the other hand, if you have a life or a different time zone, Doris is basically the final boss of FOMO. The Rainbow Event in Heartopia is a rare weather phenomenon that turns the world into a neon-soaked loot fest for a few hours. If you are not prepared, you will spend half the event just trying to figure out where the rainbow actually touches the ground. I spent my first event running in circles like an idiot before realizing Doris does not just spawn in town; she is literally waiting at the end of the colorful bridge.

Hunting Doris and the End of the Rainbow

Doris is the special event merchant who only crawls out of the woodwork when the rainbow is active. She sells items that you simply cannot get anywhere else. I am talking about exclusive emotes, kosmetic items that actually look decent, and weird variants of standard furniture.

Finding her is actually the easiest part if you have eyes. Just look for where the rainbow hits the dirt. If you follow the colors, you will walk right into her stall. The real trick is having the gold and resources ready before she disappears. Since the event only lasts a few real-time hours, you do not want to be stuck grinding gold while she is packing up her shop. Check your in-game calendar daily. The weather icon will tell you when a rainbow is incoming, giving you enough time to liquidate your jam stash and get your wallet ready.

The Power of the Rainbow Bouquets

It is not just about the shopping. The Rainbow Event triggers a massive passive bonus for every player on the server, giving you a chance to pull extra resources while mining or gathering. But if you want the real power-ups, you have to find the three Rainbow Bouquets hidden across the map.

Tracking the Blessings

Each bouquet gives you a 30-minute "Blessing" that significantly improves your star ratings for hobbies. If you have been struggling to hit those 4-star ratings on your cooking or fishing, this is your golden ticket. Also, pay attention to your garden. Watering plants during the event is the only way to snag Rainbow Breeding Powder, which is mandatory if you want to get into high-level flower crossbreeding.

RAINBOW BOUQUET LOCATIONS

You need to grab these the second the event starts. Here is exactly where the devs tucked them away.

Bouquet Type Where to Look / Impact
Home Area Bouquet Usually right outside your front door or in your mailbox. It is the "welcome" gift for logging in during the event.
Forest Island Bouquet On top of the massive rock formation in the center of the island. You will have to do some climbing to reach this one.
Forest Lake Bouquet Hanging out near the water's edge at the lake. It is usually in plain sight, so just do a lap around the perimeter.

Maximizing the Passive Bonus

While you have those bouquet blessings active, you need to be efficient. Do not stand around talking to NPCs or redecorating your kitchen. Get out there and hit the ore nodes. The passive "Rainbow Bonus" gives you a high chance of proccing extra drops from every pickaxe swing. I usually spend the entire duration of the event in the mines or the forest.

The resource gains are high enough that I can usually stock up on a week's worth of materials in just an hour. If you combine this with the "Ground Healing" or other stamina-saving tricks, you can basically clear out entire sections of the map before the rainbow fades and the world goes back to being boring and normal.

Got a hot take on this? I know you do. Head over to r/neonlightsmedia to discuss it.
