Phasmophobia Alan Wake Event: How to Find and Use the Angel Lamp
Before you start getting hunted by actual demons while blindly looking for shadows, let me show you exactly how to use the Angel Lamp to farm event points.
The Alan Wake crossover has turned standard contracts into a completely different kind of nightmare. You now have shadowy figures lurking around the maps, whispering in the dark and waiting to be dealt with. To clear them out and earn those valuable Alan Wake Event Points, you need a specific artifact. It won't save you from a Revenant trying to send you back to the lobby, but the Angel Lamp is your primary tool for scrubbing these new anomalies out of existence. I spent plenty of time hunting these things down, so I can explain exactly how to use the lamp efficiently.
Where to Find the Angel Lamp
You don't need to scour the darkest corners of a basement to find this artifact. The Angel Lamp is sitting right inside your equipment truck the moment you load into a contract. You grab it off the shelf like a standard EMF reader or thermometer. However, you can only use it on the specific maps tied to the Alan Wake crossover event.
Banishing Shadows in the Dark
Once you have the lamp equipped, you need to track down the shadow ghosts. Their spawn points are completely randomized. You might walk into the diner and find one sitting in the main lobby, or you might have to check every single restroom and closet on the property.
Instead of stumbling around blindly in the pitch black, turn your audio up. These shadows emit a very distinct whispering sound. Do not confuse this with the standard ghost event noises that try to drain your sanity. Keep your ears open for the whispers. Once you locate the source, pull out the lamp. Hold down your primary use button (Right-Click on PC, or A/X on Xbox and PlayStation consoles) while aiming directly at the shadow figure. Keep holding it until the entity flares up and explodes.

Farming Event Points
Every single shadow ghost you destroy with the Angel Lamp hands you +2 Alan Wake Event Points upon returning to your lobby screen.
The best part about this grind is that the game's difficulty setting doesn't impact your payout whatsoever. You can farm these points on a custom difficulty to save yourself a massive headache. Even if you mess up the actual investigation, guess the completely wrong ghost type, or get wiped out by a fast hunter, you still keep every single event point you earned using the lamp. Set up a safe lobby, grab the artifact, and clear out those shadows before the event ends.
