Arc Raiders Avian Alarm Project Guide: Trap Locations, Resources, and Rewards
The new project structure finally requires you to touch grass instead of just staring at a menu.
Projects in Arc Raiders usually just involve emptying your backpack to get a few new fancy toys. The Avian Alarm project arriving alongside the Riven Tides update changes the formula slightly. The first step requires you to actually travel to a specific location on the new map to complete a task. It is a small change, but it makes the progression feel a bit more connected to the world.
The later steps also require you to turn in ship models. Since these are the same items you need for the Miniature Voyages event, you can easily double dip your progression if you are already farming merits. Here is exactly what you need to do to clear the project.
Step One: Initial Flock Intake
This is the new objective based step. The game tells you to lay a bird trap next to the buoys along the Seabed on Riven Tides. It sounds vague, but the spot is easy to find once you know the landmarks.
Finding the Seabed Buoy
You need to head to the northwest section of the map. Look for the Port Authority Building. Your actual destination is sitting to the northeast of that structure, right in the space between the Port Authority and the Wavebreaker point of interest.
You are looking for a massive beached buoy. Approach it, and a blue hologram will appear on the ground. Just interact with it to lay the bird trap. Because this is a shared objective, you might run into other players trying to do the exact same thing, so clear the area before you stand still. Completing this step hands you a Dockmaster's Detector and 25 Raider Tokens.
Step Two: Preliminary Signal Birds
Once the trap is set, the project goes back to the traditional resource exchange system. This tier is very straightforward.
Basic Scavenging
You need a handful of common items. Tick Pods drop from the small drone enemies that swarm you constantly, so you likely have plenty. Canisters and Moss are standard environmental loot. The Twilight Compass models are uncommon drops, so just keep checking containers during your normal loot runs.
Step Three: Secondary Validation Birds
The requirements shift toward combat parts here. You need three Comet Igniters, which means actively hunting down Comets.
Engaging Comets
Comets are fast and aggressive, but entirely manageable if you keep your distance and use the right ammo. The Fertilizer and Rusted Tools are basic industrial loot. The Velocity ship models are rare tier, so expect to spend a few deployments tracking down all five.
Step Four: Heightened Alert Birds
Now you need Vaporizer Regulators. If you have spent any time in Arc recently, you already know Vaporizers hit incredibly hard.
Sourcing Epic Models
Take your time when fighting them and use cover to your advantage. The real bottleneck on this step is the five Sirena Dorata ship models. Being epic rarity, they are highly contested. If you find one, prioritize a safe extraction rather than pushing deeper into the map for extra scrap.
Step Five: Critical Warning Birds
The final tier asks for some of the rarest materials in the current update. You will need two Turbine Compressors, meaning your squad actually needs to take down the massive Turbine boss at least a couple of times.
The Final Trade
You also need two Leviathan's Crown ship models. These are legendary tier, and they sell for 10,000 coins each at the vendor. Giving them up for a project is a steep asking price. If your stash value is hurting and you need to fund your loadouts, it might be worth selling them and ignoring this final step entirely. But if you want to clear the board, handing them over gets you the Acoustic Guitar emote, 100 Raider Tokens, and a backpack attachment.
