This New 'Arc Raiders' Overlay Just Made My Second Monitor Useless

There is a universal law in extraction shooters: The moment you Alt-Tab to check if a "Rusted Gear" is worth keeping, someone will shoot you in the back of the head.

TGA Desert Statue Mystery: Lords of the Fallen 2 Officially Debunked

Arc Raiders is heavy on the "junk loot." You are constantly finding humidifiers, light bulbs, and random machinery, and you never know if you need them for a quest or if they are just vendor trash. Usually, this means frantically checking a wiki while hiding in a bush.

But a Steam community member named Super Jew has built a solution that feels like it should have been in the game from the start. It is an in-game overlay called "Arc Raiders Tools," and it puts the entire database right on your screen.

What It Actually Does

The tool essentially injects the wiki into your UI. It allows you to pull up information without minimizing the game or looking at a second screen.

The Key Features:

  • Item Database: You can search for any item and instantly see its sell value, recycle value, and (crucially) if it is needed for an upgrade or expedition.

  • Quest Tracking: It shows quest locations with map pins and screenshots. No more guessing where "Sector 4" is.

  • Interactive Maps: A recent update added full interactive maps to help you navigate the chaos.

The developer is also working on adding game event timers and second-screen support, which would turn this into a full-blown companion app.

The Overwolf Elephant In The Room

There is one catch, and for some PC gamers, it is a big one. The tool requires Overwolf.

If you have been PC gaming for a while, you probably have mixed feelings about Overwolf. It can be resource-heavy, and some people just hate having extra background apps running.

However, the developer chose this platform for a specific reason: Safety.

Overwolf works directly with game publishers to ensure their overlays don't trigger anti-cheat bans. By building it here rather than making a standalone injector, the tool remains "100% safe" according to the creator. It is basically the same tech level as the Discord overlay.

Should You Use It?

If you are playing on a single monitor, this is mandatory. The ability to instantly check if an item is needed for the Expedition Project without leaving the game is a massive quality-of-life improvement.

Even if you have two monitors, having the map pins overlaid on the game screen is faster than glancing over at a browser.

The tool is free, it is safe, and it saves you from writing "3 Light Bulbs" on a sticky note on your desk. You can grab it directly from the Overwolf App Store.

Just don't blame the tool if you still get shot while reading the map. That is on you.
