Destiny 2 Guide: How To Exploit The Eververse Refund Glitch
Bungie accidentally left a massive loophole in the Eververse store, and you need to abuse it right now to score free cosmetics.
Tess Everis has been locking the best looking gear behind ridiculous Bright Dust paywalls for years. A newly discovered menu glitch finally lets you turn the tables and walk away with premium items without actually spending a single coin. I spent my morning testing exactly which items trigger the bug so you can skip the trial and error. You have a very limited window to pull this off before the developers hit the server with a hotfix.
Robbing The Eververse Store
Before you permanently lose your currency clicking around the wrong tab, you need to understand that this exploit only functions under very specific conditions.
The Daily Offers Loop
Open the Eververse store and navigate directly to the Daily Offers section. You are looking for bundles of items currently available for Bright Dust. Purchase any Ghost Shell, Ship, or Vehicle you want from this specific menu.
Cloning Your Loot
Once the purchase clears, open your character menus and tab over to your Collections screen. Click on the Equipment tab and scroll through the seasonal categories until you find the exact item you just bought. Click the button to reacquire a fresh copy of that item.
Cashing Out
Back out of your Collections and open your main Character screen. Drop down into the Appearance subscreen where you equip your Ships, Vehicles, and Ghosts. You will now see two identical instances of the item you just purchased sitting in your inventory. Hover over the original item and you will see an active refund prompt. Click it to get your entire Bright Dust investment back. You get to keep your currency while the cloned version stays safely locked in your inventory.
What Items Actually Work
Don’t start buying every single thing you see in the shop. The inventory cloning process only registers on three specific cosmetic types. I broke down the exact compatibility below so you do not accidentally drain your wallet trying to copy a shader.
The Complete Alphabetical Armor Manifest
Before you waste an entire evening grinding a dead activity for the wrong perks, you need to know exactly what is on the table. The original game menus are an absolute nightmare to navigate if you want a clear view of the new system. I pulled all 56 reworked armor sets and organized them alphabetically by their source activity so you can quickly cross reference your vault inventory. Find the gear you want, check the required piece counts, and get to farming.
