Destiny 2 Guide: How To Solo Morgeth With The Titan Bubble Exploit

Bungie accidentally gave Titans a giant baseball bat, and you need to abuse it to launch raid bosses off the map before the inevitable patch arrives.

Three teal and grey Fallen Brigs in Destiny 2 stand on a red landscape, with one mech firing a red energy blast.

The Morgeth Surpassing Pantheon was built to test your fireteam coordination, but right now it is functioning as a completely free loot pinata. The recent rework to the Ward of Dawn introduced a massive physics bug that allows you to bypass mechanics entirely and send heavyweights like Morgeth, Crota, and Carl flying off ledges to their deaths. Instead of suffering through a grueling master solo clear legitimately, you can just slap the boss into the abyss. I spent my time testing the consistency of this launch, and I am going to walk you through exactly how to set up your loadout for a flawless farming run.

Prepping Your Artillery Loadout

Before you waste an hour trying to punch a boss off a cliff with standard melee attacks, you need to understand that this exploit requires a highly specific loadout to create the correct physics collision.

The Mandatory Weapon Check

You obviously need to run a Titan with the Void Ward of Dawn super equipped. More importantly, your heavy slot must carry a Heavy Combat Bow. If you have the option, you absolutely want to equip a persistence mod or a persistence masterwork on that bow. This specific trait forces your fired bolts to remain in the environment much longer, giving you a wider window of time to properly construct your trap. Slap on some reload speed modifiers to speed up the process.

Maximizing The Payout

Since you are bypassing the entire fight anyway, you should turn on all five Feats before launching the Pantheon instance. Having those modifiers active maximizes your rewards and guarantees you get a massive payout of Spoils of Conquest alongside a chance at shiny weapon variants.

Crafting The Bubble Bat

You have to manually construct the object that will launch the boss, which requires careful placement and a full ammo economy.

Spiking The Dome

The moment you load into the arena, drop a rally banner. You absolutely need a full super bar and maximum heavy ammo before you even think about starting the encounter.

Walk over near the stairs and pop your Ward of Dawn. Step inside the bubble and back up into the rear left corner. You need to shoot your heavy bow directly into the shield wall. Start at the bottom center and work your way up, firing five or six bolts to create a vertical mohawk pattern made of physical arrows.

Securing The Weapon

Once the arrows are firmly lodged in the void energy, walk around to the front exterior of the bubble. You need to look for a very specific interaction prompt. Do not click anything if your screen says "Retrieve Bolt." You need to adjust your positioning until the text clearly says "Pick Up Ward of Dawn." Grab the shield, and you will suddenly find yourself holding a massive dome covered in heavy spikes.

Launching Morgeth Into Orbit

With your spiked bubble in hand, you are ready to trigger the actual boss fight and secure your loot.

The Home Run Swing

Walk up to the back of Morgeth to officially start the encounter. Wait a few seconds for his massive character model to fully stand up.

You have two reliable options to execute the launch. The easiest method is to stand slightly to his left and perform a light attack followed immediately by a second light attack. This input triggers a specific backhand animation that launches the boss straight forward over the cliff. If you struggle with the timing on the melee combo, you can literally just walk directly between his legs to push him off the edge with the spiked bubble.

Waiting For The Kill Feed

Once Morgeth falls into the abyss, the encounter will not end instantly. You need to stand around for 20 to 30 seconds to let his massive health pool fully drain inside the kill volume below the map. After he officially dies, the game will teleport you to the final rewards room. You will find Aunor waiting for you, allowing you to immediately spend your newly acquired currency to reroll your existing gear.
