EA Sports College Football 27 Guide: How To Actually Claim And Spend Your Twitch Drops

Before you waste an hour watching a stream for absolutely zero reward, you need to make sure your digital paperwork is actually sorted out.

If you want to squeeze every drop of free loot out of EA Sports College Football 27, you are going to need to take advantage of Twitch Drops. Watching other people play the game is an incredibly easy way to pad your College Ultimate Team (CUT) inventory, but EA has buried the actual mechanics of claiming and spending these rewards behind a wall of token conversions and account linking. If you are already grinding away on my EA Sports College Football 27 field pass rewards guide, you can easily double dip by throwing a stream on your second monitor. I have broken down exactly how to properly sync your accounts and manage your Campus Tokens so you don't miss out on a free pack.

How To Properly Link Your Accounts

If your EA Account isn't properly bound to your Twitch profile, you are just watching streams for your own health.

You need to head over to Twitch and manually link your EA Account to your Twitch account in your connection settings. If you don't have an EA Account yet, you obviously have to create one first. When you boot up College Football 27 for the first time, the game will ask you to link your platform account (PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam) to an EA Account. Make absolutely sure you enter the exact same EA Account that you just linked to your Twitch profile, or your drops will vanish into the digital void.

Earning And Claiming Your Rewards

Once your accounts are synced, you can start earning drops by watching official streams or tuning into select content creators.

You cannot just watch anyone playing the game. Make sure the stream you click on explicitly has the "Drops Enabled" tag active. Not all creators offer drops, but the official EA College Football page will always have them turned on.

After you hit a time milestone, you have to manually open your Twitch Inventory and hit "Claim" on the drop. Your Campus Tokens will be injected into your in-game loot the next time you log in. The official stream doesn't offer any extra rewards for watching longer than an hour, and EA hasn't clarified if there is a daily cap for hoarding tokens.

Watch Time Required Campus Token Reward
15 Minutes 1x Campus Token
30 Minutes 2x Campus Tokens
60 Minutes 1x Campus Super Token (Equal to 10 Campus Tokens)

What You Can Actually Buy

I have to be completely honest here: the variety of rewards you can buy at launch has been downsized significantly compared to last year.

EA completely removed Fantasy, Hero, and Champion packs from the Campus Token store for the initial launch window. They have stated plans to increase the rewards with later updates, but for now, your options are incredibly limited. Remember that any BND (Bind) pack you purchase cannot be traded, auctioned, or exchanged.

Reward Item Token Cost
CUT BND Pack 1x Campus Token
CUT Better BND Pack 12x Campus Tokens
CUT Superior BND Pack 3x Campus Super Tokens
CUT Stars of the Season Player Item 18x Campus Super Tokens

The Massive Grind For The Top Prize

If you look closely at that storefront, you will notice a massive gap between the Superior BND Pack and the Stars of the Season item. If your inventory sits anywhere between three and eighteen Super Tokens, you really don't have any appealing options other than grinding for the most lucrative reward available.

EA hasn't even revealed what the Stars of the Season player item will actually be, pushing the announcement back until later this year. For some context, College Football 26 offered a 99-rated player for 20 Super Tokens and a Champion Pack for 18 Super Tokens. Since there are no Champion Packs available right now, we can only assume the Stars of the Season item will either be a 99-rated player or something incredibly close to that power level to justify the brutal eighteen Super Token price tag.
