Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Guide: Maximizing Mastery Monday and Weekly Events
Grinding for high rarity companions on a random Tuesday is a massive waste of your time.
Fortnite Runners just dropped you onto a completely fresh island with a heavy focus on hunting down Sprites and unlocking new Mastery Rewards. The companion system is a massive grind if you try to tackle it blindly. Before you spend forty hours opening chests and extracting low tier drops for pennies, you need to understand the new weekly schedule.
Epic Games is rotating three distinct weekly events into the loot pool. If you want a top tier loadout, you need to plan your drops around these specific active windows.
Exploiting the Mastery Monday Economy
The most lucrative event on the calendar is Mastery Monday. The very first one kicked off on June 8, and you can expect the exact same modifiers to drop at the start of every single week.
This is a strict 24 hour window designed to flood the economy with high rarity items. During this event, your chances of pulling Legendary and Mythic companions from Sprite Chests skyrocket. If you are hunting for the elusive Zero Point Sprite, this is the only time you should be burning your resources to find it.
On top of the boosted spawn rates, you also get double XP for all of your equipped Sprites and double the Sprite Dust payout whenever you run a successful extraction. This effectively cuts your grinding time in half. If you want to guarantee you hit as many Sprite Chests as possible while these bonuses are active, you should probably focus your rotations around the island's hidden bunkers.

The event goes live every Monday at 9 AM ET and runs until 9 AM ET on Tuesday. Since calculating timezones is a nightmare, here is exactly when that 24 hour window opens in your local region.
PT (Pacific Time): 6 AM
ET (Eastern Time): 9 AM
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time): 1 PM
BST (British Summer Time): 2 PM
CEST (Central European Summer Time): 3 PM
AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time): 11 PM
Tracking New Sprite Day
Every Thursday brings a fresh injection of content to the loot pool. Epic is using this specific day to add entirely new companions to the game.
The first New Sprite Day hits on June 11 at exactly 9 AM ET. This specific update introduces the Gummy Sprite into the wild. Instead of guessing when the meta might shift, you can comfortably check your calendar every Thursday morning to see what new passive abilities are sitting in the chests.
Dominating the Power Hours
If you prefer aggressive combat over quiet looting routes, you need to log in on Saturdays. Epic is running two separate Power Hours every weekend.
During these specific blocks of time, Gold Sprites become much more common across the map. You also get the Chaos Exploder Rifle right out of the gate as your starting loadout, meaning you can drop in and start wiping out squads without having to scavenge for a decent weapon first. On top of the firepower, you receive the Slap Effect whenever you extract a companion or boost your Sprite's level, giving you a huge mobility advantage during those vulnerable moments at the extraction terminals.
The first Power Hours event kicks off on June 13.
