Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Guide: Best Sprite Chest Locations and Farming Routes

Hunting down specialized crystal containers across a massive island is an absolute nightmare if you do not have a concrete rotation path mapped out.

The introduction of the companion ecosystem in Fortnite Runners has completely transformed how you evaluate your drop locations. Instead of simply grabbing standard weapons and running for the safe zone, you are now forced to hunt down specialized containers if you want to secure powerful gameplay buffs. These container variants are known as Sprite Chests, and opening one guarantees a companion drop alongside a standard loot item. You can easily distinguish them from standard chests by looking for their clear blue glow and the prominent pink crystal sitting on top of the lid.

Before you waste three hours landing at random locations hoping to stumble across a container, you need to understand that these chests do not carry a 100 percent spawn rate. They randomly appear at specific designated coordinates every match. I spent several sessions tracking down every active loop to give you the most efficient routes on the island.

Essential Settings and Loadout Preparation

Before you even step foot on the battle bus, you need to toggle a few options in your audio settings to give yourself a massive tactical advantage.

Make sure you turn on the Visualized Sound Effects option in your menu. This setting places a highly accurate directional indicator directly onto your HUD whenever you get close to a container, allowing you to pinpoint chests hidden behind walls or beneath floorboards without guessing.

Furthermore, I highly recommend running these farming paths inside Zero Build modes. The current sandbox layout hands you a rechargeable Shockwave Grenade every 30 seconds in Zero Build, giving you unparalleled mobility to scale steep cliffs and escape hostile ambushes while traveling between points of interest. If you are attempting to bypass the chaos by loading into custom bot lobbies, be warned that Epic deployed a silent hotfix that restricts bot mode drops to basic Water, Fire, and Earth variants. If you want a shot at pulling something legendary, you have to play in real matches.

The High Density Southern Power Loop

If you want the absolute most efficient route for maximum chest volume without burning time on massive map cross-overs, you need to focus entirely on the southern coastline. This tight loop contains roughly 13 to 14 potential container spawns clustered incredibly close together.

Step 1: The Sinister Strip Launch

Always drop at Sinister Strip to kick off this rotation. This specific point of interest features the highest overall container density on the entire island, offering four separate potential chest spawns. Clear the main buildings, secure your basic weapons, and move out before the area gets crowded.

Step 2: Coasting to Heatwave Harbor

From the strip, push directly west along the shoreline until you hit Heatwave Harbor. This location holds three potential chest spawns and sits close enough that you will not lose momentum during the rotation.

Step 3: Sweeping the Sunken Shores

Continue tracking south toward the Sunken Shores coastal border. This path allows you to check two highly reliable independent spawns that sit practically next to each other: the Wettest Bones Research Facility container and the Crashout Estates outpost.

Step 4: The Cluster Coast Check

Swing further east along the lower edge of the map to pass through Cluster Coast. There is only one potential container spawn here, but it sits directly on your natural rotation path so it is always worth a quick look if the storm circle is cooperating.

Step 5: Closing at Shaken Sanctuary

Finish your run by pushing northeast into Shaken Sanctuary, which hides three possible container locations. Because this zone typically sits right near the early safe zones, ending your route here puts you in an excellent position to gatekeep incoming opponents.

The Northern Alpine and Vault Run

If you prefer using environmental mobility tools like launch pads and ski lifts to zip across the map, this specialized northern path allows you to check a massive string of chests while utilizing heavy vertical cover.

The Mountain Peaks and Ski Lifts

Start your match by dropping directly onto the standalone launch pad located far south of Lifty Lodge, right before the local extraction pad. Snag the potential chest sitting right next to the machine, then step onto the pad and glide north toward the ski lift structures. You will find another possible container spawn resting directly on the roof of the lift building. From there, sprint down the western slope to access a secondary mountain launch pad, using it to glide straight into the furthest top right window of the main northern lodge building for a third potential chest.

The Green House Vault Shortcut

Once you clear the lodge, head east toward the isolated island known as The Bus Stop, which features a ruined house compound. Check the outside of the easternmost structure for a potential chest spawn, then drop directly into the basement of the green colored house. This basement holds a locked secure room that requires a standard key to access. If you manage to find one, cracking open this bunker guarantees a chest drop. You can map out additional key paths by checking my full Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 vault locations guide.

The Battlewoods Sign and Eastern Transformers

Leave the island and push southeast toward Collider Corridor Beta, which is the building sitting right next to the main tunnel entrance. Climb onto the roof to check for a chest, then head straight up the adjacent hill toward the massive Battlewoods sign landmark. Walk behind the tree located directly in the center of the text layout to check for a hidden chest spawn.

To close out the run, climb the snowy summit located just east of the corridor to check a final launch pad spawn, then glide straight toward the large transformer outpost situated southwest of Wonkeeland to check the perimeter wall for the final chest.

Farming Loop Primary POI Stops Potential Chest Volume
Southern Power Loop Sinister Strip, Heatwave Harbor, Sunken Shores, Cluster Coast, Shaken Sanctuary 13 to 14 Spawns
Northern Alpine Run Lifty Lodge Mountains, The Bus Stop Vault, Collider Corridor Beta, Wonkeeland Transformer 9 Spawns (1 Guaranteed Vault Chest)
The Full Map Sweep Wonkeeland, Lifty Lodge, Chopped Shop, Battlewoods, Calamari Canyon, Southern Coast 16 to 18 Spawns

Personally, I managed to secure one for my permanent locker collection, and I doubt I will be taking it out of my rotation anytime soon despite the chaotic randomness. The sheer satisfaction of triggering a bottomless magazine in the middle of a tight boxfight easily outweighs the matches where it decides to sleep on your back. If you manage to find one early in a match, your best move is to head straight for an extraction terminal to log it into your collection safely before an aggressive squad sends you straight back to the lobby.
