Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Guide: Unlocking the Zero Point Sprite

Hunting down an item with a fraction of a percent drop rate is pure torture, but you have a few sneaky shortcuts to bypass the grind entirely.

Fortnite Runners is completely dominated by the new companion system, but the loot pool is anything but fair. While you can easily stumble across standard elemental companions, finding the Zero Point Sprite is a statistical nightmare. It currently sits on the throne as the absolute rarest Sprite in the game. It has no fixed spawn location, meaning you cannot just drop into a specific point of interest and grab it off a table.

Before you waste three straight days opening every single container on the island, you need to understand exactly what you are hunting for and how to manipulate the system to get it.

The Brutal Numbers and Passive Ability

The Zero Point Sprite is a massive defensive upgrade, especially if you spend a lot of time in Zero Build mode. Whenever you equip this Mythic companion and use a healing item like a Chug Jug, Med Kit, or Shield Potion, the Sprite automatically deploys a Shield Bubble Jr. right on top of you. It completely covers your vulnerable healing window.

The catch is the absurdly low spawn rate. You only have a 0.03 percent chance of pulling this companion from a Sprite Chest.

Zero Point Sprite Stats Data
Base Drop Rate 0.03% from Sprite Chests.
Passive Ability Spawns a Shield Bubble Jr. automatically when healing.
Cosmetic Reward Unlocks the Zero Point Pilot style for the Guardian outfit.
Menu Buyback Cost 7,500 Sprite Dust (Resets companion level).

If you are determined to find it the legitimate way, you need to route your drops exclusively around the island's secret bunkers. Standard vaults guarantee at least one Sprite Chest, while the massive Epic Sprite Vaults contain three. You can plan your exact looting path by checking out my Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 vault locations guide.

Cheating the Grind with Trades and Glitches

You do not actually have to rely on the random number generator if you know the right people.

Players figured out an aggressive duplication glitch recently that flooded the island with rare companions. Epic stepped in quickly and disabled the ability to physically throw Sprites to patch the exploit. However, you can still drop them directly out of your inventory menu. Because the dupe glitch ran wild before the fix, there is a very high chance you will run into full squads carrying four Zero Point Sprites within the next week.

If you have a friend who already owns this companion, they can simply load into a match, drop it from their inventory, and let you pick it up. They will lose it for the rest of that specific match, but they can easily buy it back from the main menu later for 7,500 Sprite Dust.

If your regular squad is broke, you can look to the community. Senior Director Tofu Chris is actively hosting giveaways for the companion on X. You can also join the Sprite Trading HQ Discord server managed by Gl1tch Leaks to find other players willing to drop the item for you in exchange for some gold or a carry.

Farming on Mastery Monday

If you refuse to trade and want to pull it yourself, do not waste your time grinding on a Wednesday.

You need to take advantage of the weekly server boosts. Epic runs a dedicated event that massively increases the spawn rates for Legendary and Mythic Sprites. This window gives you your best mathematical shot at pulling the Zero Point companion from a chest. You can find the exact timezone conversions for this weekly boost in my Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Mastery Monday guide.

Extracting Your Prize Safely

Finding the rarest companion on the map is useless if you catch a sniper bullet before you bank it. If you die holding an unextracted Zero Point Sprite, it vanishes forever. You only unlock the Battle Pass skin style and the permanent collection slot after a successful extraction.

Do not risk your 0.03 percent drop at a highly contested public Extraction Site. You are begging to be sent back to the lobby. Instead, use a Portable Extractor. You can buy these single use items at the terminals or earn them by completing your Mastery Quests. Drop the portable pad in a quiet corner of the map, secure your companion, and breathe a sigh of relief. If you are extremely paranoid about getting pushed during the extraction timer, read my Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 NPC locations guide to find a hireable heavy specialist to watch your back.
