Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Guide: How to Get the Duck Sprite

Dancing your way to full shields is an incredible tactic to survive the final circles when your medical supplies run completely dry.

Epic Games stuffed the island full of new companions this season. I've tested out plenty of different loadouts to see what actually works under pressure. The Duck Sprite stands out as a genuinely hilarious survival tool that provides a massive tactical benefit during late game rotations. Before you wander around blindly checking empty rooms for a random drop, I have the best spawn locations mapped out for you.

Where to Find the Duck Sprite

You can pull it from regular chests, rare chests, and Sprite Chests scattered across the map. I highly recommend spending extra time checking fishing spots. Taking a few seconds to cast a line gives you a solid chance at pulling the Duck Sprite, and you might even hook the Mythic Goldfish in the process.

If your luck is terrible and you want to skip the random item rolls, drop straight into the secret Cluster Coast vault. This location houses multiple rare containers and offers the absolute highest spawn rate on the entire island.

Once you finally grab one, don't risk losing it to a random sniper shot. Bring it straight to an Extraction Site or deploy a Portable Extractor on the spot. Safely extracting the unit adds it to your permanent collection so you can summon it during future drops.

Duck Sprite Healing Stats

Every time you perform an emote or fire up the Jam Track Player, the Duck Sprite automatically regenerates your shields.

If you just survived a messy firefight and have zero shield potions left, you can literally dance your way back to maximum health. The healing speed scales up significantly as you level your companion during a match. A level five unit pumps out eight shield points per tick, getting you to maximum capacity in seconds.

Duck Sprite Level Shield Regeneration (Emoting or Jamming)
Level 1 2 Shield per tick
Level 2 3 Shield per tick
Level 3 4 Shield per tick
Level 4 6 Shield per tick
Level 5 8 Shield per tick

Special Duck Sprite Variants

Finding a Special variant packages a secondary passive ability right on top of the default emote healing.

I personally chase the Gummy and Galaxy variants because they drastically reduce the time I spend farming materials. If you want to increase your odds of pulling these upgraded versions, you should hunt for them during active server events. Here are the specific perks tied to each tier.

Variant Tier Active Perks and Buffs
Base Duck Sprite Emoting or Jamming replenishes your shields over time.
Gold Duck Sprite Base healing buff plus a 3x experience bonus for all eliminations.
Gummy Duck Sprite Base healing buff plus a 20% increase to Sprite Dust gains upon extraction.
Galaxy Duck Sprite Base healing buff plus a 30% increase to ammunition gathered while looting.
