Fortnite: How to Get the Grim Sprite (And Why Campers Should Be Worried)

Anyone hiding in a bush is about to have a much worse time, because the Grim Sprite turns every shot you take into a tracking beacon pointed straight back at whoever pulled the trigger.

This one's a Mythic, and the drop rate reflects it. Getting it isn't hard because of some hidden trick, it's hard because the base odds are rough. Here's what actually moves the needle.

What the Pet Does

Equip the Grim Sprite and the moment someone lands a hit on you, that opponent gets marked through walls for a set duration. No more guessing which window the sniper's tucked into. You take the shot, you see the outline, you return fire. It's a straightforward answer to the single biggest annoyance in a shooter like this: getting picked off by someone you never saw.

The mark duration scales with mastery level, and it goes from mildly useful to genuinely oppressive by the time it's maxed.

Mastery Scaling

Mastery Level Marker Duration
Level 1 3 seconds
Level 2 3.5 seconds
Level 3 4 seconds
Level 4 4.5 seconds
Level 5 5 seconds

Five seconds of wallhacks in a shotgun fight isn't a small edge. That's enough time to end the argument before it starts.

Farming It Properly

Sprite Chests hold the entire drop pool for this pet, including its Galaxy and Gummy variants, so that's where the actual grinding happens. Since the raw odds are stacked against you, the smarter move is stacking guaranteed pulls instead of hoping for luck out of regular containers.

Vaults deliver on that front. A Rare Vault guarantees one Sprite Chest. Clear out an Epic Vault and you're cracking open three at once, assuming you survive whatever fight breaks out over who gets there first.

Timing the Odds in Your Favor

There's a weekly modifier called Mastery Mondays that quietly shifts the math in your favor. Every Monday, starting at 9 AM ET for a full 24 hours, Mythic Sprite odds go up across the board. If the grind's been going nowhere, that's the window to actually push it.

Keep an eye out for the Sprite Hunt Rift Anomaly too. When it triggers, buried Sprite Chests get marked on the map, and digging one up guarantees a Special Sprite. It's the closest thing to a sure bet this system offers.
