Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Guide: How to Find Every Gummy Sprite

Farming currency is usually a miserable grind, but Epic just injected a candy-coated shortcut into the loot pool to speed things up.

Five colorful, watermelon-themed jelly creatures with unique expressions and accessories floating above a glowing platform in Fortnite.

The hunt for rare companions just got significantly more profitable. Gummy Sprites are now officially live on the island. They look like a snack, but they actually serve as a massive economic stimulus package for your locker. These are not entirely new entities with unfamiliar mechanics to memorize. Instead, they act as a high-yield variant of the base companions you are already carrying around.

The 10 Percent Extraction Bonus

Gummy Sprites completely retain their original baseline combat abilities. A Gummy Water Sprite still heals you when you stand in a river, and a Gummy Demon Sprite still siphons health when you eliminate an opponent. The kicker is the brand new extraction modifier. Banking a Gummy variant gives you a flat 10 percent boost to your total Sprite Dust payout.

If you keep getting sent back to the lobby by aggressive squads and need to continuously buy your favorite companion back from the main menu, hunting these down is mandatory. You can rapidly build a massive bankroll simply by prioritizing these candy variants during your runs. If you are struggling to actually survive the banking process, read up on my Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Sprite extraction guide to lock down your loot safely.

Where to Hunt Gummy Variants

Epic is currently keeping the exact percentage drop rates hidden under the hood, but the geographical spawn triggers are completely mapped out. You can’t just land anywhere and expect to trip over one.

You have to tailor your drop route to the specific companion you want.

Gummy Variant Spawn Location & Requirements
Gummy Water Coastal beaches and riverbanks.
Gummy Earth Dense forests and heavily wooded regions.
Gummy Fire Busy urban points of interest and cities.
Gummy Duck Near the vaults located at Frosted Flats and Sinister Strip.
Gummy Ghost Spawns anywhere on the map, but exclusively during the nighttime cycle.
Gummy Dream Found sleeping inside open storage crates.
Gummy Demon, King, Punk & Zero Point Locked exclusively to Sprite Chest spawns.

Maximizing Your Farm

If you are strictly hunting for the Gummy Demon or the Gummy Zero Point to maximize your combat potential while still earning that 10 percent bonus, you need to ignore standard floor loot entirely. Those high tier variants are hard locked to the specialized crystal containers. You can optimize your run by checking my guide to the best Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Sprite Chest farming routes to ensure you are hitting the highest density areas.
