Fortnite Warframe Collab: How to Unlock the Excalibur Skin for Free
I never thought I would see a space ninja from Warframe holding a tactical shotgun on the Fortnite island, but the Excalibur skin is finally here.
The gaming world is no stranger to wild crossovers, but Epic Games just dropped a massive treat for the Tenno community. After sitting in the game files for what felt like an eternity, the Excalibur skin is officially live. If you are a fan of the classic looter shooter, you can actually add this sleek outfit to your locker without parting with a single V-Buck.
If you do not want to deal with external storefronts, you can also just buy it outright. I have broken down both methods below so you can decide which route makes the most sense for your wallet.
The Free Loophole: Epic Games Store Packs
You do not need to dip into your V-Buck savings to get this skin, but there is a slight catch. Instead of spending in-game currency, you will need to purchase an eligible Warframe add-on or DLC pack through the Epic Games Store. Since Warframe itself is entirely free-to-play, grabbing one of these packs is a great option if you already play the game or want to start.
To make this work, you just need to make sure you are using the exact same Epic Games account for your purchase that you use to log into Fortnite. Once you buy one of the eligible bundles, the Excalibur skin will automatically show up in your Fortnite locker.

If you don’t care about Warframe and don’t want to mess around with purchasing PC add-ons, you can take the straightforward route. The Excalibur skin hit the Fortnite Item Shop on July 11, 2026, at 8 PM ET.
It will cost you 1,500 V-Bucks, and it does not come packaged with any other cosmetics. It is just the standalone skin.
Before you drag your feet on this, keep in mind that you have a very limited window of opportunity. The Excalibur skin is scheduled to rotate out of the Fortnite Item Shop on July 18, 2026, at 8 PM ET. If you want to run around the island looking like a futuristic space warrior, make sure you make your decision before that deadline hits.
