Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Achievement Guide: The 100% Completion Roadmap
Before you accidentally lock yourself out of an entire faction storyline, I am going to show you the exact optimal path to secure every single achievement in Jadame.
The Heroes of Might and Magic series carries a legendary 30-year legacy. While the third installment is widely considered the absolute peak of the franchise, Olden Era attempts to capture that exact same magic while updating the mechanics for modern strategy demands. Between managing the armored knights of the Temple and fighting off the all-consuming Hive, it is incredibly easy to miss the obscure side quests required for a perfect completion run.
You are currently looking at 22 achievements available in Early Access. Most of these are tied directly to the narrative campaign, but a handful require you to dive into specific game modes and challenge maps. If you want to efficiently conquer the continent without replaying massive 50-turn scenarios, you need to follow my exact routing instructions. Make sure your autosaves are turned on, and manually save your game whenever you hit the Campaign Hub. One wrong dialogue choice will send your completion run straight to the graveyard.
The Freebies: Game Mode Achievements
You do not even have to play a full match to knock out the first three achievements on the list. You simply need to navigate the main menu menus and start the required game types.
Tutorial and Challenge Maps
Before you touch the main campaign, you need to prove you actually understand the underlying mechanics of the game. Navigate to the Tutorial section from the Main Menu to start checking these off.
Basic Education
You will earn this achievement by completing both the Gameplay Basics and Advanced Tutorial maps. Pay close attention to the tooltips. The final mission ends with an assault on a Necropolis Castle, netting you the achievement immediately after your victory.
Bachelor of Heroism
This requires you to beat eight specific puzzle maps found under the Challenges menu. These test your grasp on advanced game mechanics.
Weekly Growth: Visit all the angel dwellings on the map to increase town production. End your turn to trigger the weekly growth cycle. Recruit 12 angels total and wipe out the 8 Hive Queens.
Pathfinding: Start with Leon. Swap his swordsmen with skeletons from the town to remove Necropolis terrain penalties. Grab the Swamp Boots, hand them over to John Johnson, and march John directly to the goal point.
Marketplaces & Resources: Pick the Merchant subskill when leveling up your hero to reduce conversion rates. Buy exactly 10 gems, 10 crystals, and 10 mercury with your starting gold.
Areas & Map Spells: Purchase Shadowflight and Dimension Door from the High Neutral Magic Constellation menu. Fly through the mountains, kill the kittenhorns, cross into the desert, and teleport to the final island.
Flee & Surrender: End your first day. When attacked, surrender immediately to keep your angels alive. Rehire your hero in town, buy all available units, and crush the enemy.
Counterattack: Wait with your units to push their turns to the end of the round. Use your griffins to block the Hive Queens while your champions snipe them from a distance using their jousting damage bonus.
Spell Levels: Upgrade your Magic Guild to level 2. Destroy your unused artifacts for alchemical dust to upgrade Fireball and Lightning Bolt. Bait the enemy stacks together and nuke them with Fireballs.
Hero Chaining: Pass troops and artifacts down a line of heroes. Move Clarissa to Vesper, Vesper to Heretic Avis, and Avis to Aeos. Dump everything onto Aeos and initiate the final battle.
Act I Campaign: The Golden Route
The narrative campaign features a hard branching path after the fourth mission. To get 100% completion, you must finish one branch, reload your Hub Save from Mission 4, and then play the opposite branch.
Mission 1: Garner Hills
You will automatically start this mission with a few Minotaurs in your army. To unlock Ariadne's Mercy, you must keep at least one Minotaur alive until you defeat the final stack of fiery insects at the end of the map. Rely heavily on your hero abilities and expendable troops to tank the damage.
Mission 2: Into the Woods
You need to farm a massive amount of Red Crystals here. Do not engage the Grove hero until you finish these two tasks. Head to the bottom right corner, enter the portal, and feed 30 crystals to the Infernal Hydras to unlock Lernaean Solutions. Next, locate all five Kittenhorn squads scattered across the map and pay their crystal demands to unlock Whimsical Entourage. Once you finish the mission, you will naturally recruit Lafiur and earn Double Trouble.
Mission 3: Burning Hearts
While exploring the dark terrain above the Grove's Old Pilgrim castle, you will spot a Dungeon warlock hero surrounded by Infiltrators. Defeat the guards, follow her through the portals, and catch her to unlock It Fills You with Determination. Before you complete the main faction objective to end the map, refuse to aid the Old Pilgrim and defeat him in a siege battle to secure Might over Right.
Mission 4: Neverending Conflict
Speak to Klastor the Kennel Master to learn about the Shard of Serenity. Find the purple portal guarded by Primal Remnant Plants and step through. You cannot just pick the artifact up. You must end your turn right next to the shard and wait a full day for the strange presence to vanish. Picking it up grants you Patience is a Virtue.
In the middle of the map, you will find a red grove with a Fine Wand. Trying to take it summons twin pixies who hand you four spell scrolls. You must use these scrolls properly in combat to unlock AcHiEvEmEnT!!!. Cast Weakening Ray on an enemy, cast Shade Cloak on an ally and skip their turn, cast Cave In on an enemy, and place Spatial Snare traps on the battlefield. Do not destroy the scrolls.
Mission 5A and 6A: The Temple Branch
If you sided with the Humans in Mission 4, you will route through this branch.
Once Tempted, Always Rebuked: Decline the offer from the Hive Waurm messenger (the Dragonfly King's herald).
Something lingers, unfinished: Accept the Troglodyte's treasure hunt quest, but stash the Troglodyte inside a Remote Foothold. Finish the mission without ever delivering him to the burrow.
Lost Knight: Rescue Valentina from the cage in the middle of the map.
NecronomiNO!: In Mission 6A, speak to Thant and destroy all three Necromancer amplifiers located in enemy territory.
Noble Assistance: Capture Lord Galthran's castle to recruit him to your cause.
Mission 5B and 6B: The Necropolis Branch
Reload your Mission 4 save and side with the Necromancers to access this route.
A Fiery Negotiation: Refuse the Dragonfly King's herald near the bone carcass.
Noble Assistance: Finish Mission 5B and rescue Lord Galthran.
Guarding the Guardian: In Mission 6B, defeat all four corrupted angel heroes to drop a magical barrier. Head to the sunlit rocky platform and free the fifth angel from the cage.
Lost Knight: Capture Valentina's castle to add her to your roster.
Mission 7: Alvar Diruil
You will eventually be forced to choose one hero to stay behind and defend your main castle against a massive assault. Pick Gunnar and leave him to die. Evacuate all the remaining Alvarian villages on the map using Lafiur, Galthran, and Valentina. Fleeing successfully with the peasants unlocks Blessed be the Meek. Watching the final cinematic will officially grant you the Act I completion trophy.
