Neverness to Everness Housing Guide: Escaping Your Tiny Starter Room
Before you resign yourself to sleeping in that cramped closet the game hands you at the beginning, you need to understand how the Hethereau real estate market actually works.
You spend hours fighting supernatural threats across the city. Eventually, you will want a place to crash that feels like an actual home rather than a temporary holding cell. Unlocking your own apartment in Neverness to Everness is a massive milestone for your account progression. It gives you a dedicated space to dump your furniture, hang out with your favorite Espers, and actually gain tangible gameplay buffs for your combat encounters. I spent a lot of time grinding out the City Tycoon system to figure out exactly how to secure the best real estate in the game. Keep in mind that the properties system is currently a work in progress by the developers, but the foundational mechanics are fully established. If you want to move out of the slums and into a high-rise, you have to put in the work.
Climbing the Property Ladder
Purchasing a house is not something you can do right out of the gate. You have to prove you are a functioning member of society by increasing your Tycoon Rank.
Visiting the Leon Estate Group
Once you hit the necessary rank, you cannot just buy a house from a random menu. You have to physically travel to a Leon Estate Group Property Agency. Look for the yellow building icons scattered across your map. Walk inside the agency and speak directly with the real estate agent named Monica. She handles all the property transactions in the city. To unlock your very first option, the Wiener Apartment, you must push through the main tutorial to reach Tycoon Rank 4 and finish the specific Coffee Curator quest. Once you hit Rank 5, Monica will gladly take your money.
Surviving the Insane Costs
Buying real estate is going to completely drain your bank account. The starter apartment alone costs 200,000 Fons. If you want the massive Fengan Villa sitting on Green Wall Slope, you need to cough up eight million Fons. If that number makes you sick to your stomach, you need a better financial plan immediately. Stop relying on loose change found in alleyways and check out my Neverness to Everness fast Fons farming guide to get your wallet ready for the big leagues. There is absolutely no limit to how many properties you can own. You can technically hold the keys to every single apartment in the game simultaneously, assuming you have the ridiculous amount of cash required to fund that lifestyle.
Designing Your Space and Building Comfort
Buying the property is only half the battle. Staring at bare walls is depressing, and ignoring your interior design actually halts your account progression. You need to fill your new home with furniture.
Sourcing Your Decor
You do not get furniture for free in this city. You have to hunt for it constantly. You can buy premium, high-quality pieces directly from DeLuxur Decor shops. Look for the couch icon on your city map to find their storefronts. If you are operating on a strict budget, you can snag decorative items from standard vending machines, explore the random back alleys of Hethereau, or purchase cheaper items from small local vendors. You also earn specific decorative pieces passively just by leveling up your account and completing certain quests. Be aware that buying premium furniture costs Fons, meaning your housing habit will constantly compete with your vehicle upgrades.
The Comfort Value Grind
Do not treat interior design as an optional side activity. Placing furniture inside your properties actively increases your overall Comfort value. You can check your current Comfort level on the progress bar at the top of your screen while in the housing edit menu. You absolutely must increase this value to meet the strict requirements for leveling up your Tycoon Rank. If you ignore your apartments and leave them empty, your Tycoon progression will hit a permanent brick wall.
Roommates and Anomaly Buffs
Your properties serve a much larger purpose than just looking pretty. They act as vital hubs for building relationships and buffing your combat stats for the open world.
Inviting Your Espers
You do not have to live alone. Once you reach Bond Level 4 with a specific character, you unlock the ability to invite them over to your house. Simply press the character icon at the top of your screen and select your chosen Esper. Interacting with them inside your apartment slowly increases their affection. Pushing that bond to level 6 elevates them to a Close Friend, which unlocks unique bond items and special voice interactions.
Every property has a strict cap on how many roommates you can invite. The tiny starter Wiener Apartment only allows one single guest. The massive Fengan Villa lets you house up to five Espers at once. If you are struggling to decide who actually deserves a spot on your couch, consult my Neverness to Everness character tier list to see who pulls their weight in combat.
Leveraging Anomaly Furniture
This is the most critical part of the entire housing system. Some properties allow you to place and activate Anomaly Furniture. These are not standard chairs or dining tables. Activating these specific pieces grants you powerful passive effects that apply to your character outside of the City Tycoon modes. For example, setting up the right Anomaly Furniture can give your character a massive boost to their critical hit rate during heavy combat encounters. Always prioritize placing and activating these items the exact moment you acquire them. A good looking apartment is nice, but an apartment that helps you survive a boss fight is mandatory.
