Neverness To Everness Vehicles Guide: Building Your Garage
Before you run yourself ragged sprinting across the city, you need to understand how to acquire and maintain a proper set of wheels.
Hethereau is massive. Relying strictly on fast travel points will leave you disconnected from the world and severely limit your Tycoon progression. Neverness To Everness features a surprisingly robust driving system, complete with street races, vehicle modifications, and the ability to invite your roster to ride shotgun. The game does an incredibly poor job explaining how to summon your rides or manage their durability without blowing yourself up. I am going to walk you through exactly how to build your car collection and keep it running so you can stop stealing civilian transports and triggering massive police chases. If you are struggling to manage your City Tycoon stamina while exploring on foot, check out my Neverness To Everness Beginner Guide to get your baseline economy stabilized.
Acquiring Your First Ride
You do not need to spend millions of Fons immediately to get off the sidewalk. The game hands you a basic transport option completely for free if you follow the main story.
Complete the Photo Studio Episode during the second prologue to unlock a free scooter called the Rover A1. To actually start collecting high end cars, you must reach City Tycoon Level 2 to unlock your personal Garage.
If you need a ride right now and refuse to pay, approach NPCs driving around the city and trigger the requisition prompt. Some drivers will happily lend you their car. If they refuse and you rip them out of the driver seat by force, your Wanted Level spikes immediately. Security Officers will start pursuing you across the map.
The Dealership Inventory
When you are ready to spend your Fons, you need to visit the specialized dealerships scattered across the districts.
I compiled a list of every car currently available for purchase at the primary dealerships. Keep in mind that I am still actively working on this master list, as certain specialty vehicles like the K01 and Tomorrow Rush are hidden behind specific currencies. Dropping 12 million Fons on a Pendragon requires a massive bankroll. You can pad your wallet immediately by redeeming the latest payouts from my Neverness To Everness Codes Guide.
Driving Mechanics and Summoning
You do not have to physically visit your garage every time you want to drive. Open your radial menu, switch to Wheel Mode, and select your Key Fob to spawn your active vehicle. You can also map this directly to your hotbar for instant access.
There is a strict rule governing this system. Cars and motorcycles can only be summoned while you are standing on the side of an actual road. Scooters bypass this rule entirely and can be dropped anywhere as long as there is enough empty space around you.
Managing Speed and Drifting
If you find yourself constantly crashing into walls, open your settings and toggle Comfort Mode. This automatically limits your top speed and prevents you from spinning out of control on tight corners.
Drifting is possible by pulling the handbrake while turning sharply. I strongly advise against doing this in standard races. Drifting causes a massive loss of speed and makes your car highly unstable. It is almost always faster to simply decelerate before a curve and execute a normal turn.
Maintenance and Durability
Your cars are not invincible. Treat them like battering rams and you will find yourself walking very quickly.
Every time you hit an obstacle or scrape against a wall, your vehicle loses durability. A damaged car suffers massive penalties to both handling and top speed. If you continue driving recklessly and your car starts shooting sparks, get out immediately. The vehicle will explode, dealing heavy damage to you and dropping the car's durability to absolute zero.
You cannot drive a broken car. You must repair it by spending Fons at a Vehicle Modification Shop, through your Garage menu, or by using the Mechanic Anomaly Furniture in your apartment. To mitigate this durability loss entirely, you want Jiuyuan in your roster. Her passive skill heavily reduces the damage your vehicle takes in a crash. If you do not have her yet, consult my Neverness To Everness Reroll Guide to see if it is worth resetting your account.
Customization and Passengers
Once you secure a high end sports car, you can start tweaking the cosmetics to fit your style.
Look for a blue car icon with a cogwheel on your map to find a modification shop. Speaking to the staff here allows you to change your paint job, apply new skins, and upgrade your engine parts for better acceleration. Once you hit City Tycoon Level 20, you unlock the ability to customize your license plate directly from the Garage menu on your phone.
You do not have to drive around Hethereau alone. Open your Garage menu and click the plus icon next to your car. This allows you to invite any character in your roster to ride with you, provided you have raised their affection to Bond Level 2. You can raise their affection by giving them gifts, which you will naturally find while tracking down the anomalies detailed in my Neverness To Everness All Side Quests Guide.
