Paralives Collabs Guide: Every Indie Crossover Listed

Finding out your digital avatars are procrastinating by playing real indie games on their computers is a brilliant level of inception.

Paralives had an absolutely massive launch into early access, selling over 250,000 copies in just eight hours and dominating the Steam charts. While you're busy trying to keep your household fed, you might stumble across a few familiar names hiding in the menus. The developers baked several official collaborations right into the base game. You don't have to buy any extra DLC or download separate patches to access them. From decorating your bedroom with suspicious posters to making your characters play actual indie titles instead of getting a job, here's exactly what you can find and how to use it.

Bringing Other Games to Melino

The crossovers in Paralives are split between physical items you can place in your house and interactive easter eggs you can actually use.

Before you start tearing apart the build catalog, you should know that these items are immediately unlocked from the moment you start a new save file. The most interactive part of these collaborations happens right at your character's desk. If you click on a PC and select the "Play video game" option, your character can actually boot up real world titles.

You'll also notice the collaborations bleeding into your daily chores. When you check your mailbox to pay your bills or collect bank statements, the envelopes spawn with random stamps. Among Us and Kitfox Games both contributed custom stamps to this system, giving you a fun little collectible to look for before you drain your bank account paying for electricity.

The Complete Collaboration Breakdown

There are currently three major collaborations active in the game. I organized every single item, outfit, and playable game into a quick reference table so you know exactly what to look for when you're decorating.

Brand / Studio In-Game Content and Items
Among Us Playable on PC. Adds a customizable Crewmate outfit to the character creator. Furnishings include a Pikitu poster, a Susi figure, and a Susi plush. Adds new mail stamps.
Kitfox Games Playable Boyfriend Dungeon and Dwarf Fortress on PC. Adds body pillow furnishings with cuddle options for Sundar, Toshio, and Valeria. Adds new mail stamps.
Outbound Playable on PC. Adds the Otibondi Van furnishing, which can actually be scaled up to life size.

Decorating with Indie Swag

If you want to deck out your digital house with crossover gear, you just need to dig through the standard catalog.

The Sus Wardrobe

The Among Us gear is arguably the most prominent. Before you even load into a lot, you can jump into the character creator menu and dress your avatar in a full Crewmate suit. You even get to customize the exact color of the suit to fit your vibe. If you need a refresher on how the clothing menus function, read my Paralives Paramaker Character Creation Guide for a full breakdown of the fashion interface.

Body Pillows and Massive Vans

The other studios offer some fantastic decorative pieces. Kitfox Games added a set of interactive body pillows featuring characters from Boyfriend Dungeon. You can actually command your character to cuddle the Sundar, Toshio, or Valeria pillows if they're feeling lonely.

My personal favorite addition comes from the Outbound crossover. They added a highly detailed camper van called the Otibondi Van to the furnishings menu. The best part is that it's fully resizable. You can shrink it down to sit on a desk as a toy model, or you can scale it up to act as a massive, life sized vehicle parked right in your front yard.
