Pragmata Red Zone Guide: Every Key and Arena Location
Finding an optional combat arena on the moon is great, but realizing you do not have the authorization to open the door is pure agony.
Pragmata loves to taunt you. As you push through the ruined corridors of the Mass Production Array, you will inevitably stumble across a pathway blocked by a massive, transparent red screen. Your Object Scan will aggressively ping highly valuable loot hiding just out of reach. If you try to hack it, shoot it, or blow it up, you will get absolutely nowhere.
These are Red Zones. They are highly condensed, exceptionally brutal combat arenas that lock the doors behind you the second you step inside. If you survive the multi wave onslaught, you walk away with the rarest upgrade materials in the game and permanently unlock padlocked sections of Cabin's bingo cards.
Now before you waste your time running back and forth across the sectors looking for a switch, you need to understand how the access system actually works. You need Red Gate Keys. The trick is that these keys are completely universal. You do not need a specific key for a specific door. If you find a key in Sector 4, you can absolutely use it to open a door back in Sector 2.
Because the game hides half of these keys behind entirely different mechanics, going in blind will leave you permanently locked out of the best gear. Here is exactly where to source every key and what you get for surviving the arenas.
Where to Find Every Red Gate Key
There are exactly nine keys in the game to match the nine arenas. Some are physically sitting on laptops in the open world, while others require you to engage with the Shelter economy.
If you are struggling to find the coins needed for the bingo boards, you should take a detour and read my Stamp Club Rewards Guide to optimize your currency.
Every Red Zone Arena and Reward
Getting the door open is the easy part. Once you step inside a Red Zone, you are locked in a room with multiple waves of high tier security bots. You must completely clear the room to unseal the exits.
Do not walk into these arenas without a plan. You will absolutely burn through your primary ammunition. Look for the breakable yellow supply boxes scattered around the corners of the arena to restock your gear mid fight. If your guns are feeling weak, you might need to reconsider your build. Take a look at my Best Early Loadouts and Upgrades Guide before you waste a key on a fight you cannot win.
Tactics for Surviving the Slaughter
You cannot just run into these rooms with a basic assault rifle and hope for the best. The game throws highly specific enemy compositions at you to test your mechanics.
When you tackle the Terrarium in Sector 3, you are going to be swarmed by invisible enemies. If you rely purely on your vision, you will be torn apart. I highly recommend bringing the Stasis Net to lock down the area and the Decoy Generator to group them up for area of effect damage.
The Regolith Lab in Sector 6 features a massive wave of flying enemies that will rain fire down on you from terrible angles. This is one of the only times in the game where equipping the Impact Barrier Defense Unit is actually a smart play. Deploy the shield to block the vertical projectiles while you pick them out of the air.
Finally, the Lunafilament Lab is widely considered the hardest arena in the game. You are trapped in a small space with multiple high level bots. Area of effect weapons are mandatory, but your secret weapon here is Diana. If you slot the Confuse hacking node, you can hack the heaviest hitters in the room and force them to turn their massive weapons on their allies. If you want a deeper understanding of how to exploit those digital combos, head over to my Hacking Masterclass Guide.
