007 First Light Guide: Crashing the Party for Ellis White

Tracking down Ellis White at the Vietnam resort means dealing with bouncers, an annoyed bartender, and a guarded storage room before you can plant a Q-Trak in his drink.

Your target's hanging out at the Ocean View Bar inside the Vietnam resort. Head down the main resort stairs and move southeast, following the rock steps all the way down to the entrance. Two guards block the doorway, and they won't let you inside without a flyer.

To get the flyer, talk to the bouncers first. Two women walk up and sit down directly behind you. They've got the flyer you need. Hit them with your Phone Dart or Laser Strap to stun them, grab the flyer, and show it to the guards to walk straight in. Doing this unlocks the Party Crasher challenge.

Distracting the Bartender and Clearing the Back Room

Once you're inside, approach Ellis. You'll get tasked with following Jonty to find the bar keys, but you need to get the bartender out of your way first.

Walk up to the edge of the bar and interact with the wine menu to read it. Move over to the left side of the bar and speak to the bartender. Select the option to order off the menu. Either dialogue choice works fine here. The bartender gets frustrated and walks off, which unlocks the Blanc the Brut challenge.

With the bartender gone, slip behind the counter and push through the double doors into the storage room. Two guards inside block the path to the keys. Look around for a red toolbox and turn on the hose inside. The water noise distracts both guards while they check out the puddle. Grab the bar keys, vault over the ledge, and exit through the back door without alerting anyone. Bring the keys back to Jonty. Slipping out undetected unlocks the Key Master challenge.

Serving the Drink and Planting the Q-Trak

Now that Jonty's ready with the keys, head back to Ellis and unlock the minibar. You'll see four different drink options. Ellis asks for something that kicks harder than a mule, so I picked the Tequila Slammer. The drink choice is purely cosmetic and doesn't alter the outcome. Serve him the drink, and the Q-Trak plants automatically as he takes his first sip. Once he's tagged, you're free to leave the bar and move on to your remaining targets.
