007 First Light Guide: How to Bypass the Sensors and Open a Path for Greenway
Hacking the floor sensor grid in the Knightfall mission relies entirely on dragging boxes, crawling through vents, and summoning a robotic vacuum cleaner.
During the Knightfall mission, you and John Greenway infiltrate Webb Industries to reach an area called the Perch. Your progress stops entirely when you reach an office hallway covered in active floor sensors. You get a vague objective to open a path for Greenway, and Bond refuses to simply kick the doors off their hinges. The game leaves you to wander around a corporate office looking for a solution. I spent too much time trying to jump over the lasers until I figured out the correct route. Here's the exact path you need to take.
Navigating the Vents
Your first goal involves getting off the main hallway and into the walls. Look to your right to find a stack of boxes blocking a side path. Grab the rightmost box and pull it out of the way to expose a small ventilation grate. Squeeze through the opening and take the left path inside the ductwork. This drops you directly into Isola Vale's office. You're now safely behind the first layer of locked doors, but you still need a way to clear the main path. Finding this vent early saves you from tripping the initial alarm and resetting the encounter.
The Q-Watch Line of Sight Hack
The hacking mechanics run tight in this specific room, which makes it easy to get stuck. Carefully step out of Isola's office and back into the main hall. You'll find yourself standing directly between two active floor sensors. Don't touch them. Look to your right at the office labeled as the De Broglie meeting room.
To get inside, you need to use your Q-Watch on the door sensor. The catch is that the hack requires a direct line of sight to the interior sensor, and the angles leave little room for error. Look through the glass where the blinds are raised to get a clean visual on the hackable controller. Once it highlights on your screen, trigger your Q-Watch to unlock the door. Hacking through the glass completely bypasses the need to find an access key, keeping your movement entirely stealthy.
Calling the Cleaning Robot
With the De Broglie room unlocked, you need a way to reach it without tripping the lasers. Turn around and head back into the vent you just came from. Crawl back inside and take the other left turn. This path drops you into Damien Webb's office. Leave his office through the main door, turn left in the hallway, and walk straight into the unlocked De Broglie meeting room.
Look for a large interactive tablet on the wall or table. Access the panel and request a room cleaning. This summons a robotic vacuum cleaner. The main hallway doors automatically slide open to let the little machine do its job.
Walk through the newly opened doors to the other side of the hall. You'll find the main security panel on the wall. Flip the switch to disable the sensor grid entirely. Greenway can now follow you safely, and your path to the Perch is wide open. Disabling this grid completely shuts down the environmental threat, meaning you won't need to worry about dodging lasers when the guard patrols show up immediately after this puzzle.
