Creature Kitchen: How To Feed Pants The Ghost

A haunted pair of trousers is the last thing standing between you and the credits in Creature Kitchen.

Retro-style gameplay screenshot of Creature Kitchen featuring a white ghost-like creature sitting at a dining table next to a green mug, with two small round animals near a wedge of cheese on the floor.

Most of the creatures in this house are easy enough to win over, happy with a sandwich or a plate of spaghetti and not much else. Pants isn't one of them. He's the final entity in the game, and getting him fed means clearing a string of endgame requirements rather than just tossing him whatever's on hand.

The game also actively misleads you here. Everything about the setup points toward Blueberry Pie, and I spent way too long baking pie after pie only to watch him sit there looking unimpressed each time. He doesn't want anything baked. What he actually wants is a specific cereal called Fortunate Gems, and once that clicks, the rest falls into place fast.

Getting Pants to Show Up

Unlike most of the yard and puzzle creatures, Pants doesn't need a specific trick to spawn. He's a scripted nighttime visitor who shows up once the story's pushed far enough along.

Some evening after the sun goes down, a knock will come at the front door. Walking over and opening it lets him in. Leaving the door open the whole time works too, since he'll just float in on his own and take a seat at the kitchen table without needing an invitation.

Making the Fortunate Gems Bowl

A dry box of cereal alone won't cut it. The full dish needs four separate items, most of which are locked behind earlier progress in the house.

Component Where To Find It
Cereal BoxLocated in the cabinet at the very end of the hallway.
MilkInside the fridge (requires befriending Corrin the Crow first).
BowlInside the bowl cabinet (requires befriending Gerald the Octopus first).
SpoonFound in the same drawer as the bowls.
Combine all four items in the kitchen to create the Fortunate Gems dish. Once the bowl is ready, place it directly on the table in front of Pants.

That Corrin and Gerald requirement is worth flagging early, since it means Pants effectively can't be fed until a good chunk of the rest of the house is already sorted out. Combine all four items in the kitchen to put together the Fortunate Gems bowl, then set it down on the table right in front of him.

What Happens After He Eats

Once Pants finishes the bowl, he gets up and heads outside, and following him is the next step. He leads the way to a specific spot on the property and stops beside a letter waiting there.

Interacting with that letter kicks off the game's final sequence, a campfire gathering with every creature befriended along the way. Getting full completion out of that scene means walking over and physically sitting down next to Pants by the fire. That's what unlocks the Backyard Bonanza achievement and closes out the game for good. Anyone missing other trophies at this point still has a clean shot at cleaning them up before the credits roll, since nothing about this final scene locks the save file.
