Tracking down five hidden foxes in Flower Castle is the only way to secure a crucial piece of endgame currency.

Deltarune Chapter 5 locks one of its most important secrets behind a painfully deceptive game of hide and seek. You need to find five foxes scattered around Flower Castle. The game only forces you to find three to push the main story forward, and if you stop there, you miss out on a secret room and the Pink Coin waiting inside. Missing that coin means missing the chapter's secret boss entirely. If you want to know why that currency matters so much, check out my Deltarune Chapter 5 Guide: All 19 Pink Coin Locations.

Before you waste three hours tearing the entire map apart, you should know that all five foxes are clustered in the exact same area. Head to the Second Diner location inside Flower Castle and take the door on your left. You'll end up near a room with two fox statues out front. Every single fox you need is within walking distance of this spot.

All 5 Fox Locations

You can grab these in any order you want. I laid out the route below to keep you from running back and forth between rooms like an idiot.

Fox Number Location & Method
Fox 1 Behind the right side paper walls outside the statue room. Blends in with decorative paws.
Fox 2 Wandering the center of the main Terracotta room.
Fox 3 Bottom right of the Terracotta room. Push the second to last model from the right off the edge.
Fox 4 North east room. Put a silhouette on the blue switch to drop the curtain.
Fox 5 North west room. Interact with the curtain to expose Yellow's disguise.

Fox 1: The Wall Flower

Before you actually walk into the room with the fox statues, check behind the paper walls on the right side of the area. Walk very slowly to the left. You'll see a bunch of decorative paw shapes along the wall, but one of them is actually a living fox. Grab it and carry it to the front of the room to cross your first target off the list.

Fox 2: The Easy Catch

Walk inside the room with the fox statues. You'll step into a massive hall filled with Terracotta models. This fox is literally just wandering around the center of the room. Herd it toward the door to scoop it up.

Fox 3: The Terracotta Trap

Stay inside that same Terracotta room and head down to the bottom right corner. Look at the bottom row of statues. You need to push the second to last model from the right directly off the edge. As it falls, it magically turns into a fox. Push very carefully here. The other models are completely useless decorations, and knocking the wrong ones over is a massive waste of time.

Fox 4: The Paper Curtain

Head to the north east corner of the Terracotta room and walk through the door. You'll spot several fox silhouettes projected onto a paper curtain. Pick one of the silhouettes and drop it onto the blue switch. This drops the curtain so you can see which one is the actual animal. Grab the right one to secure your fourth fox.

Fox 5: A Familiar Face

Go back to the Terracotta room and walk up to the north west area. Step into the room and interact with the curtain. Yellow will suddenly show up. If you are having flashbacks to the courtroom boss fight from my Deltarune Chapter 5 Guide: How to Beat Yellow and Blue, don't panic. This is just your final fox wearing a disguise. Call out the trick, and the hunt is officially over. (I guess you could say he outfoxed himself).

Claiming Your Reward

The second you collect the fifth fox, the locked door that Aqua was guarding will automatically swing open. Walk inside and you'll find one lonely fox sitting at the far end of the room. Walk up and interact with it. The fox transforms into a Treasure Chest containing your hard earned Pink Coin.

I cannot stress this enough: you absolutely need all five foxes to open this door. Collecting the bare minimum of three for the main story leaves the door permanently locked.
