Destiny 2 Guide: How To Upgrade Crafted Weapons To Tier 5
The Monument of Triumph update finally fixed the Deepsight restrictions from Edge of Fate, giving your vaulted crafted weapons a direct path back into the current meta.
Getting a weapon to Tier 5 doesn't require grinding a new social space vendor. The entire progression system is built directly into your inventory menus, and the cost depends entirely on what you want to upgrade. Pushing a previously crafted weapon to maximum power costs absolutely nothing.
Taking non-craftable loot or Adept Raid weapons up that same track will drain your reserves fast. Upgrading those specific drops requires Glimmer, Ascendant Alloys, and Enhancement Prisms. Pushing The Socket
Open your character screen and check your stash. You are looking for weapons with the red Deepsight square sitting in the bottom right corner of the icon.
Inspect a valid gun and look directly to the right of the Weapon Mods section. You will see a new empty socket. Clicking it triggers the tier progression sequence, allowing you to manually bump the weapon from its baseline Tier 1 status all the way up to Tier 5.
Slotting Enhanced Traits
Upgrading that socket in your menu doesn't apply any stat boosts on its own. To actually claim the power, take your newly minted Tier 5 weapon directly to the Enclave.
Open the reshaping menu at the relic. You can now slot Enhanced Traits into every single perk column on that gun, alongside enhanced versions of your standard Weapon Mods. These enhanced variants are twice as effective as their standard baseline counterparts.
