Diablo 4 Season 13: How to Farm Billions of Gold Without Losing Your Sanity

If your gold pile is draining faster than a health bar in a high tier Pit, you need a better strategy for your wallet.

The launch of the Lord of Hatred expansion on April 28, 2026, brought a massive shift to the economy of Sanctuary. Gold is no longer just a secondary currency for repairs. It is the literal fuel for your progression. Between Masterworking tiers that cost millions and an Occultist who seems intent on bankrupting you for a single stat reroll, you can easily burn through a billion gold in a single afternoon. If you are struggling to keep up with these costs, you are likely running the wrong content.

I have spent the last few weeks testing every new loop introduced in Season 13 to find the absolute ceiling for gold production. Whether you are looking for a massive exploit while it lasts or a steady endgame grind, I have you covered. Before you dive into these high speed farms, you should probably make sure your character is actually capable of clearing this content efficiently by checking my Diablo 4 Season 13 Tier List.

The Broken +900% Gold Multiplier Method

Before you waste hours doing standard runs, you need to know about the current gold drop exploit involving the new Talisman and Charms system. It is currently possible to reach a gold drop rate that is frankly ridiculous. The community expects this to be patched soon, so I recommend taking advantage of it immediately.

How to Set Up the Multiplier

The core of this trick lies in the Practiced Technique set. You need to equip at least three Charms from this set in your Talisman to establish a baseline +25% Gold Drop Rate. That is a solid start, but the real magic happens in the Horadric Cube.

You need to hunt for a Legendary Horadric Seal that features the specific Practiced Technique affix. If you do not have one, use the 3-to-1 recipe in the Horadric Cube to sacrifice your spare Seals for a random reroll. Keep doing this until you hit the +900% modifier. Many of us suspect this was intended to be a 9% boost, but as of right now, it is a massive 900% multiplier. Equip this and run any high density dungeon to watch your gold stack skyrocket.

Horadric Strongrooms: The Gold Ceiling

If you prefer legitimate endgame loops, Horadric Strongrooms are the current kings of gold per hour. These special rooms appear inside Nightmare Dungeons and offer a gold output that averages around 263M per hour if you have a fast build.

Optimizing Your Strongroom Runs

Your results here depend entirely on the Sigils you choose to run. Before you enter a dungeon, check the affixes. You should prioritize Sigils that feature the Gold Reserve affix to ensure you get the maximum return for your time.

Even better, keep an eye out for the Mythic Prankster affix. These Sigils generate high value items that vendor for significantly more than standard loot. If your build is optimized for movement speed and clear speed, you can rotate these dungeons fast enough to make Masterworking costs look like pocket change. Just remember to clear your bags before you start. If you leave legendary loot on the floor because your inventory is full, you are literally throwing gold away.

Kurast Undercity: The 50M Lump Sum Loop

The Kurast Undercity is a timed activity that scale its rewards based on how you play. It is fantastic for players who want massive chunks of gold in short, 2.5 minute bursts.

Maximizing Your Seals

The goal here is to collect Horandri Seals. Each of these has a base vendor value of 13 million gold. A typical run usually nets you 3 to 5 Seals, which means you are looking at over 50 million gold for less than three minutes of work. If you play perfectly, you can push that to 10 Seals per run.

The Kurast Checklist

  • Use the Tribute of the Horadrim: Always activate this before you start. It guarantees a high volume of Talisman items and Seals at the end of the run.

  • War Plan Nodes: Invest a point into the Jade Epiphany node. This makes XP Globes picked up during the run increase your final gold settlement.

  • Kill the Prankster Goblins: Every brazier you light has a 10% to 15% chance to spawn a Prankster Goblin. Do not ignore these. Killing them multiplies your final rewards.

  • Efficiency over Kills: You do not need to kill every trash mob. Accumulate your Attunement Ranks (aim for 3 or 4) and then focus on the boss.

Infernal Hordes and Passive Gold Layers

If you need a break from the intense timing of the Undercity, Infernal Hordes offer a more traditional combat loop that still pays well. You can expect about 110M gold per hour here, with the added benefit of farming crafting materials at the same time.

Burning Aether Conversion

The key to gold in the Hordes is the Spoils of Gold chest at the end. Spend every single bit of your Burning Aether on this chest. It converts that energy directly into gold, making it the most consistent part of the run.

The Tree of Whispers Combo

You should always layer your activities. If you are running Helltides to find Infernal Compasses, make sure you are also completing Tree of Whispers objectives in that same zone. Use your War Plan points to activate the Tree of Plenty node. This gives you a fourth reward cache every time you turn in your Grim Favors. Those caches contain direct gold and items that you should be selling to vendors, not salvaging.

Method Comparison Table

I have put together a quick breakdown of how these methods compare so you can decide which one fits your current schedule.

Closing the Gold Gap

Stop selling yourself short by running content that does not pay. If you need a massive injection of cash right now, go set up the Practiced Technique multiplier and run a few dungeons before the developers wake up and nerf it. If you want a sustainable career in Sanctuary, rotate between Strongrooms for your primary grind and Kurast Undercity for quick lump sums.
