Diablo 4 Season 13 Tier List: The Absolute Best Classes Ranked

Rolling a weak character on day one is a guaranteed way to make your seasonal grind utterly miserable.

Season 13 of Lord of Hatred completely flipped the meta on its head. Between massive balance patches and the introduction of entirely new build synergies, relying on old knowledge will send you straight back to the lobby. The new Warlock and Paladin classes introduced in the expansion shook up the power dynamics, but the veteran classes are not going down without a fight. I spent countless hours testing these builds so you do not have to. If you are tired of getting flattened by endgame bosses, you need to pick a top tier class that can actually push through the highest Torment levels.

The S-Tier Heavyweights

These are the undeniable kings of the current meta. If you want to absolutely melt screens of enemies and farm bosses without breaking a sweat, you need to roll one of these classes immediately.

Rogue: The Unmatched DPS King

The Rogue is currently sitting at the absolute top of the food chain. Recent buffs to the Dance of Knives build turned this class into an unstoppable blender. You also have access to ridiculous S-Tier setups like Penetrating Shot and Death Trap. The Rogue still suffers from a high skill ceiling and lower survivability, but the raw damage output completely negates those flaws. If you master your positioning and movement, nothing on the screen will live long enough to touch you.

Warlock: The Demonic Overlord

The brand new Warlock class is an absolute monster. You use two unique resources known as Wrath and Dominance to cast dark magic and summon demons. The Apocalypse build is currently crushing top tier content. You can also run the Tyrant's Grasp setup or rely on Dread Claws for massive burst damage while sitting in Shadowform. This is a highly technical, combo heavy class. You have to actively sacrifice your own demonic minions for massive buffs, but the screen clearing AoE damage is totally worth the learning curve.

Barbarian: The Walking Armory

The Barbarian is basically back to its overpowered launch status. The sheer stat advantage of equipping four weapons at once makes the Barbarian scale incredibly well into the late game. The Whirlwind build is currently dominating the charts, but you can also run a Minion Barbarian setup for a completely different playstyle. The only drawback is the miserable early game. You will feel slow and weak until you secure decent gear, but once you do, you become a walking meat grinder.

Sorcerer: The Elemental Nuke

Sorcerers are back to erasing rooms with absolute ease. The Ball Lightning and Static Field builds are performing exceptionally well in the endgame. The class received massive utility buffs to both Teleport and the Enchantment system, removing a lot of the clunky mechanics that plagued older setups. You are still a fragile glass cannon, but your screen wide crowd control and elemental burst damage keep you perfectly safe.

The A-Tier Contenders

These classes are incredibly strong and fully capable of clearing the hardest content in the game. They simply require slightly more optimized gear or tighter skill rotations to match the S-Tier heavyweights.

Paladin: The Unkillable Tank

The other new Lord of Hatred class is the ultimate anchor. The Paladin is a faith powered knight that brings ridiculous survivability to the table. By utilizing skills like Fortress and Defiance Aura, you become practically unkillable. The Wing Strikes and Shield of Retribution builds are currently performing best. You also get to customize your playstyle heavily using Oaths like Juggernaut or Zealot. Once you pop your Angelic Form transformation, you gain massive speed and burst damage to wipe out whatever survived your initial engage.

Necromancer: The Blood Mage

Necromancers remain a highly reliable choice for pushing Torment levels. The Blood Wave build is currently shining thanks to the massive damage output provided by the Kessime's Legacy unique pants. You can also run a pure Minion setup and hide safely behind your undead army while they tank all the damage. The Necromancer still suffers from terrible mobility, but your curses and bone magic provide enough safety to compensate.

Spiritborn: The Evasive Martial Artist

The Spiritborn is an incredibly fast, martial arts focused class that relies heavily on combos and Vigor generation. The Eagle Evade build is still fantastic, and there is a new Poison variant that easily clears high Pit tiers. You must constantly stay on the move. If you stand still for more than a second, you will get surrounded and deleted. You have to chain your three hit combos flawlessly to maximize your damage output.

The B-Tier Struggles

You can force this class to work if you are a stubborn specialist, but you are intentionally playing on hard mode.

Druid: The Nerfed Shapeshifter

The Druid caught several brutal nerfs and hotfixes recently, dropping it straight down to the bottom of the viable meta. The Lightning Storm build is arguably your best option right now, as classic setups like Pulverize have completely fallen off. You can still deal decent AoE damage, but the Druid struggles immensely to push high Pit tiers compared to every other class on this list. You need absolutely perfect gear synergies just to compete with a moderately geared Rogue or Warlock.
