Far Far West Pumpkin Skin Guide: Stop Chasing Ghosts
If you are scouring the internet trying to figure out how to unlock that glowing pumpkin head for your robot cowboy, I am going to save you a massive headache.
Far Far West features a legendary crossover cosmetic that turns your character into the titular hero from Pumpkin Jack, another game developed by Evil Raptor. The flavor text in the game perfectly describes the vibe: "Already the god of his own game, so he figured he might as well stroll in and wreck the Far Far West too." It is spooky, it looks incredible in co-op, and everyone wants it. The problem is that the internet is full of conflicting information on how to actually unlock it in the current Early Access build. I am going to give it to you straight so you can stop wasting your time.
Is the Pumpkin Skin Still Available?
The short, painful answer is no. You cannot legitimately acquire the Pumpkin skin in the game right now.
If you look at the cosmetic menu in the current Early Access build, the skin’s unlock requirement simply reads "N/A." There is no secret questline, and you do not unlock it by grinding out the "25,000 Cryptic kills" challenge like some other cosmetics. If you see a guide telling you to grind kills for the pumpkin head, they are lying to you.
Why Did the Old Promo Codes Stop Working?
Back during the open playtests in late October 2025, the developers ran a special Halloween event. During that limited window, you could easily unlock the Pumpkin skin by participating in the event or using specific promo codes like playtestmesenpai or pumpkinjackisagreatgame.
Thousands of players unlocked the skin without any hassle. However, that was a limited-time reward tied strictly to the demo period. When the game officially launched into Early Access, player progress was wiped. The people who earned the skin in the beta lost it, and the old codes were completely deactivated. When Will It Come Back?
Do not panic. The developers have already officially confirmed that the Pumpkin skin will return. It is heavily tied to seasonal in-game events, meaning you will likely see it drop back into the loot pool around next Halloween or during a similar spooky content update. You just have to be patient.
