Fortnite Droid Tycoon Guide: How to Farm Nova Crystals

Finding premium currency in a management simulator is usually straightforward, but Epic completely forgot to explain how to fund your new workshop.

Nova Crystals are the lifeblood of the latest progression system, yet the game actively refuses to tell you how to acquire them. If you are staring at a zero balance in the Nova Shop and wondering what you missed, you are not alone. There are exactly two ways to earn this premium currency. One requires a daily login habit, and the other forces you to sacrifice a massive chunk of your hard work.

Before you blindly reset your factory floor, you need to understand the exact payout structure. If you are trying to speed up your general progression to hit these reset requirements faster, check out my Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 leveling guide for the best experience exploits to boost your account.

Prioritizing the Nova Shop

Before you start hoarding crystals, you need to know exactly what you are saving up for. The Nova Shop is split into four distinct categories, and spending your currency in the wrong spot will severely cripple your early game efficiency.

Category What You Get
Core Upgrades Max health, damage output, movement speed, and flawless charm boosts.
Workshop Improvements Extra lounge slot, Sandcrawler Rebirth alerts, and a collect-all option.
Cosmetic Assets Base paint colors and Droid accessories that have no gameplay effect.
Iconic Droids Special units like BB-8 and Mister Bones from limited events.

Do not waste a single crystal on cosmetics during your first few runs. Paint jobs and shiny accessories look cool, but they do absolutely nothing for your production rates. Focus entirely on Core Upgrades and Workshop Improvements to boost your multipliers. The Iconic Droids tab is the only exception to this rule. If a limited unit like BB-8 pops up, grab it immediately. These specific drops bring entirely unique abilities to your roster that you cannot secure anywhere else.

The Daily Quest Drip

The first earning method is agonizingly slow but completely free of risk. Every single day, your quest board will generate exactly one daily objective that rewards a single Nova Crystal.

It sounds like a terrible payout, but one crystal is enough to unlock meaningful stat bumps early on. You cannot stack these quests or save them for the weekend. Make it a habit to check your board the second you log in and knock out the target showing the crystal icon before you start expanding your factory walls.

Executing a Super Rebirth

This is where the actual farming happens. Activating a Super Rebirth floods your account with Nova Crystals, but you have to hit a minimum of Rebirth 12 before the system even lets you push the button.

Before you pull the trigger at level 12, look closely at the scaling mechanics. The higher your Rebirth level is when you activate the reset, the exponentially larger your payout becomes. Waiting until you hit the current maximum cap of Rebirth 23 gives you the absolute best return on your invested time.

If you are worried about losing your hard-earned premium currency during the wipe, do not panic. The official mode developer, BlazingFrenzy, confirmed that all Super Rebirth rewards are completely permanent. Your crystals carry over safely, meaning you can comfortably stack them across multiple resets.
